Am I the only one who thought Clifford looked a lot like Hackenberg later in his career when his was missing wide open receivers.

I made a comment in the chat when he threw one in the dirt that it was very Hackenberesque.

The big thing that I noticed Saturday was Brent Pry brought the defense to play baby and what a game they had, let’s give Brent Pry and the defense some love how sweet it was 😁

I've been bad mouthing Pry for a long time.Β  I must admit, he sure proved me wrong on Saturday.Β  I just hope he can keep it up.Β  That defense really did a number on the cheese heads.Β

Not you're not the only one that noticed that.Β  I made a statement about the same thing in another thread.

I guess you overthrow long passes sometimes but he was quite open and it wasn`t close.Β  He missed so e short passes badly and when you consider the completion percentage yohh have to recognize a high percentage were thrown <2 yards.Β  The similarity to Hack was that he wasn't comfortable and he was on his back foot.Β  But the line wasn't great and Wisky's D (blitz and stunts) was effective.Β  The stunts were often long routes which gave time for 10 yard passes.Β  I'm reviewing TE play to see if I can find one blocking and sneaking out.

IMO Clifford is not a pocket passer; deer in deadlights and they may come from not trusting his O'line, once a QB is nervous he's gonna make mistakes. Seems like he does pretty good rolling out where, if needed, he can bug out and get a few yards running. Just my thoughts and observation.Β

I agree...Clifford has footwork issues and I believe that is a direct result of being under constant pressure...He doesn't step into throws because of the constant pressure he is under...Happens to every QB who plays behind a bad offensive line and is a very hard thing to correct...
