@lionbacker99 ummm even Barkley probably wouldn’t have been able to make that line look mediocre. They even got pushed around, bullied, and dominated by an FCS school.

@psujoe I’m not disagreeing that the line was putrid. However, those two RBs missed holes many times making the situation worse. Cain didn’t even look like the same guy.

@psujoe Andre Robinson transferred because he was in the same recruiting class as Barkley and was never going to beat Barkley out for the spot. What did you want the coaches to do? Bench Barkley because Robinson was a 4 star?Slade transferred in 2019 because he lost his spot to Journey Brown who started 10 games and rushed for 890 yards and 12 TDs and was named the Cotton Bowl MVP after rushing for 202 yards in the game. Again, how did the coaches mishandle that? Brown was the better player at the time and earned the spot. Not sure who else you were referring to? RB has been one of the stronger positions since this coaching staff has taken over. I have a lot of questions about some other positions under Franklin but RB is not one of them.

@roaminglion I could see him excelling in DII somewhere, maybe Mac or Sunbelt Conferences - like all ex PSU players ... I wish em well.

@psujoe Allen is much better and today I believe he’s the best RB on the team. I thought Singleton was best but not anymore after watching Allen. We are loaded at RB with the 2 freshman but Lee is a great #2 and we definitely need him to stay.

Hello there Southern, IMO I’m not really sure I’d say Allen is much better. Maybe I’m disagreeing on the “much” part. I think Singleton can turn on the jets a bit more than Allen when he gets the opening. Allen seems to find the opening a bit better though. It’s a luxury having both cause it seems both are proving to be the real deal coming of out of high school.

@psuinhawaii  absolutely Hawaii I love both RB’s and they both have their strengths and with Lee backing these 2 young studs up is why I believe we’re loaded at RB. Remoh is right though we need to recruit a few more this year. Allen just looks better to me right now but I’m tickled to death to have both of ‘em

If I remember right, Barkley, Sanders and brown run behind McGovern, Bates and Menet and we had a few stud TE’s, that’s not chop liver imo to run behind because these dudes regardless of how they got there went on to the NFL. Just to sniff the NFL you gotta be a bad ass. I would say MF’r but caven don’t like us to use that word lol.  just saying. I also believe there was another OL that went to the NFL I can’t remember his name. Donavan? Can’t remember. Giai turned out to be a pretty good center to if I remember correctly

Ford only played in 4 games this year so he can redshirt this season.  I think he will transfer after he graduates and then play 2 more years at another school.  His major is psychology.

Saw an article about this latest trend in "free agency".  Kids leave the team before they play enough to burn a year of eligibility and at a later date, enter the portal to take full advantage of their remaining eligibility.  College players have more free agency options than the pros!
