Man, I was hoping for a last minute McSorley drive for the win vs Brady! Not sure if any of you watched the game, but I thought McSorely did well and hey, can't expect a whole lot out of a 3rd string QB, but he sure didn't act like a 3rd stringer. I hope he gets another chance vs the Falcons. That was a lot of pressure facing Brady for his first career start, but as far as I am concerned, he looked and played the part well!
GO STATE!!!!
We all love McSorley. He was a dynamic QB. at PSU. It’s amazing watching athletes compete at the highest levels. Some guys who were always the best don’t make the cut. The NFL coaches know their trade. McSorley’s ceiling is maybe a backup.
@sky 99% of college football players only wish they could make a living playing backup QB in the NFL where the best athletes in the world compete…it’s a great way to make a living then go on and maybe do some coaching. Man i thought the Eagles backup QB looked good in the game against the stinking Cowboys. Did y’all happen to watch that game it was a lot of offense?
@southern
You make a good point. I do see many PSU fans having an unrealistic assessment of McSorleys potential. Being a backup in the NFL is certainly a lucrative occupation. I wonder how long he will hold on. For sure, the Harvard guy, Fitzpatrick, may go down as a backup who hung on long enough to become a starter.

I think after this year McSorley will qualify for the NFL pension. That's 5 years of being on active rosters.
@roaminglion I thought it was 5 but somebody said it was 3 but regardless I sure hope he gets it roam.
He's fully vested now. I believe it's 3 years, not 5.
Correct, 3 yrs to be vested for NFL retirement.
Didn't watch the game, but watched the highlight reel - he looked pretty good although I am sure they didn't show the bad passes, just the good ones.
