Well this year 2022 they have had a great recruiting year with OLineman...I am not so sure that they have had a good year let alone a great year recruiting OLinemen in the last 10 years...Just my opinion...This year it seems like they made it a top priority which it should have been all along...Great Offensive Lines make mediocre running backs look great...
Regardless of how they got to the NFL only the best players make it to the NFL even if it’s just the practice squad you don’t sniff the NFL unless you are good and we’ve had quite a few OL to make it to the NFL and we’ve had our fair share to get all big 10 honors. Maybe Limegrover wasn’t the best recruiting coach but according to rivals and 247 sports a lot of the other top 25 teams wanted the kids Penn St recruited it wasn’t just James Franklin and Matt Limegrover recruiting them. Recruiting the best OL we can get is always the top priority and always has been under James Franklin and the GOAT. Doesn’t mean we get the best but we’re always after the best. Let’s give the OL coach another year and see how he does but if the OL is bad this year it ain’t looking good for him.
"Recruiting the best OL we can get is always the top priority and always has been under James Franklin"
This is just plain wrong. James Franklin always has prioritized skill positions on offense over everything else. We simply have not recruited the interior line well, it's a running gag at this point. That is why people are so excited about the OL recruits Trautwain has coming in next year and the year after. Not just the quality, but the amount of them.

when you want to dominate you go after the best players possible and if he’s not he definitely needs to be fired!
@roaminglion O line will be a strength, next season. 🤣 Fool me once....
Not that I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised!
Since 2017 we've averaged less than 1 offensive lineman recruit in our top 10 per season. Some years we get 1 4* recruit, other years we get none.
That's not making the OL a priority, and certainly not recruiting it well. 1 4 star recruit is not how you build winning offensive lines. To give an example, Wisconsin recruited 3 4* Offensive line LAST YEAR and 6 in 2 years... we've gotten 4-5 in 5 years.
