Okay, I'm on record that they should get in if they win out and I'm sticking with it; but while watching the ECU game, if I'm Fickell, I'm outta there on a high note at season's end. IMO he has taken the program to its terminal top; I just don't see sustainability of the program as a top 5 team; with that being said, it has been a good run and an excellent year so far for Fickell and the team.
I watched most of the game and I don’t think they are a top 5 team. There’s a few teams with one or 2 losses I think would beat ‘em. If they put ‘em in I’m good with it but I do believe they’ll get drilled.
You didn't think UCF could compete with Auburn a few years back either...You settle these issues on the field and the games have to matter...

Agreed! They were far from impressive tonight. If they bring that game into the playoffs they'll get hammered,

I agree, I've become a fan of Fickell and his Bearcats as the underdog vs. the Big 5. Talk about coaching!! He's done more with his 3 stars and transfer portal cast offs than anyone. I will cheer for him over any team other than our own Lions. That said, I think they exit quickly if they make the CFP. 😔

How about Arkansas? Their recruiting hasn't been good, did Alabama look great against them?

Well Memphis beat a ranked team in LSU's division, and East Carolina beat Memphis didn't they? Let me guess... "Mississippi State is playing better now"
So you can keep pretending the AAC can't compete and is no good all you want... They are beating teams better than LSU, but, but, but... "LSU's recruiting tho"
...and Cincy didn't struggle with ECU. They won 35-13.
