What I think the CFP should be entering the final week:
- Georgia
- Michigan
- TCU
- USC
- Ohio State
- Alabama
- Penn State
- Tennessee
I believe the CFP would have put Alabama ahead of Ohio State in the latest rankings had LSU won, but they lost badly to Texas A&M. Because of that, Alabama's loss to LSU is too bad to overlook and hard to justify putting them ahead of OSU. It would have been complete BS, but I think they would have done it. Luckily for OSU, LSU got beat.
Also, because LSU looked bad I think that might take some shine off of Tennesse also. Yeah, they beat Vandy... congrats. But we only lost to 2 teams: #2 and #5. Also, we've pretty much blown out every other team we've played since.
That’s looks like a great 8 team playoff. Man I want to get in the playoffs. Would be nice if we had the 12 team now.
Roam, How do you figure USC jumping OSU? OSU lost to the #2 team in the country - USC lost to Utah (unsure if and where they were ranked at the time) But on the other hand, I could see us jumping Bama since our losses were what you said, and they lost to lesser teams. Tenn is the real anomaly here - I can see them landing anywhere from #6 to #11

Because USC beat more ranked teams, and beat Notre Dame in more convincing fashion than Ohio State. And they would be the favorite to win the Pac-12. Also, OSU didnt just lose... Michigan just beat them into submission convincingly.
There is no way on earth Ohio State is getting into the playoff ahead of USC if they win the Pac 12.
Bothe the Coaches poll and AP poll are out... they kept Tennessee ahead of us but other than that the top 8 were as shown.
Ohio St getting in the playoffs doesn’t help Penn St as far as recruiting goes plus I don’t like ‘em but what is best for Penn St football, USC and TCU winning or losing because we gotta think about playing in a great bowl game, right? I only pull for Ohio St and Michigan if it helps Penn St football. The new goal is to win the bowl game and climb as far up in the polls as possible. After the last 2 seasons we need a good finish.
@southern-psu-fan If Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and USC all win I think it would look like this:
- Rose: Ohio State vs. Washington
- Sugar: Alabama vs Kansas State
- Orange: Tennessee vs Clemson
- Cotton: Penn State vs. Tulane
In short, I really hope Ohio State gets in because Tulane is a stinker matchup
A Tulane match up would probably result in several opt outs.
Tulane ranked 18th, Penn State #7. Great match-up. How does that happen.
Rutgers wasn't bowl eligible, lol.
Yea but they’re ready to take that next step !

@forum-titan We can only beat whoever they let us play. I’d rather play another SEC team.

Penn live days allover again. You're the most pathetic bandwagon fan. At times I feel you are the troll. My bet, you aren't Alumni.
