But sometimes a certain coach just "fits" at a school. Bill Snyder comes to mind, he did what no one else could do at Kansas State.
For whatever reason, I feel like Schiano is that type of guy at Rutgers. Don't know what it is, but he's just a perfect fit at that school. The players respond to him, and the Rutgers program in light years better than they are without him.
Only other recent years they were any good was 1 or 2 years after he left, then they went off the rails again.
@the-funeral-director He did learn a thing or 2 From the goat Joe Paterno
Sam Pittman at Arkansas.
Prog
They need to put that statue up and name that field Joseph Vincent Paterno Field at Beaver Stadium...That should have been done 10 years ago...It's a damn disgrace...
I'd rather they leave the statue down, I don't want it going back up. You want to know why? Because Joe didn't want it, he said so. I'd rather honor the man by respecting his wishes, hated it when it went up in the first place because he didn't really think it was a great idea.
You make a very good point there Roam...He really didn't like that statue and said so publicly on more than one occasion...LOL...The field should be named in his honor and frankly it should have been 10 years ago...
Rutgers is on an upward trajectory. One big problem there is that the program continues to bleed financially. Most of the liberal woke folks that reside in the Garden State, don’t give a hoot about college athletics. Trouble looms.
