Under James Franklin, Penn State is 5 and 6 after a bye week. However, 3 of those losses were to Michigan, and the 3 others were to Michigan State, Minnesota, and Illinois. Penn State is on a 2-game post-bye week win streak, but the opponents were Massachusetts and Kent State. The best post-bye week win was against Ohio State in 2016.  The beat-down of Maryland in 2019 is notable.

The stats might be completely meaningless beyond a simple tracking of the game results.  I'm just hoping the boys are ready to go on Saturday night.

I don’t be we had our best game against USC and we still found a way to win so I look for us to have a good game and beat down Wisconsin.

Now that we know we have a kicker, I don't want to see any FG's.  The #3 team should be able to just pump em in when we're down there!

@rip  I agree BK that’s why I don’t believe the run game is as good as some think. It’s okay but it’s got work to do because we struggle to score TD’s. The biggest sign you have problems running the ball is when you kick a lot of FG’s and it’s not like we’ve played 6 great defensive teams. It could be because we do have a new OC and a few new faces on offense just to be fair.

Our top wide receiver has 17 total catches the entire season!! Opposing defenses are going to scheme to take TE Warren out of the game and one of these WR’s needs to step up.

@psujoe Pappy is on the money. AK is too smart and will anticipate this, Evans, Wallace and Fleming all have big play/game ability but just haven’t need to step up yet. Look for a big game from one of those 3 plus some critical receptions by Clifford. 31-17 Penn State.

I just want us to play 2 good halves, not just the 2nd half.

I don't think we have had a good complete game ALL season (Kent State just doesn't count ) and yet we are still ranked #3.  Sooner or later they are going to have to look and play like a top 3 team.   That BG game still bugs me and the USC game.... I just don't know about that one.  But hey, they did come back and win, so that does say something about this team.

I said early in the season they need to be 6-0 before the Wisconsin, Wash and Ohio State stretch and they are. I also think they they have definitely found some rhythm but it always seems to start in the second half.   But I am on board with the coaching, feeling a "little" better with the offense play calling, so may be we will get to see a complete game against Wisconsin and feel better about the Ohio State game.   I honestly believe Penn State is in the driver's seat the rest of this season and have complete control of what happens.  Make it to 7-0 and then Ohio State at home? Beaver stadium will be rocking and I think this team will be fired up and step up for one of the biggest games in a long time.

BEAT WISCONSIN and we all have something to get excited about next weekend!

GO STATE!!!

I'm at firm believer what Vegas says.  I think Penn State is walking in a hornets nest.

No Penn State fan would say "you". They would say "us".

Thanks for confirming you aren't really a PSU fan.

@roaminglion Seems like he’s  a little bitter after his beloved Scarlet Knights took it on the chin again the other night. Never been a secret that he despises PSU.

@psujoe Guess we can enjoy this week; whereas Niccy(exsaltinewarrior) will not. But he can hope for a different outcome next week.

Not sure what the big deal is here? Please go back to searching my previous posts. I even said it myself that PSU would win last night. I also said it would not be easy and many of you would shit down your leg. I'll say it again.  I'm a firm believer of Vegas. What I do know is that Penn State is an overated team.  No way in hell are they a top 5 team.  Nowhere to being elite. OSU opened up as a 5 point favorite. Still many games to be played and now the injuries are starting to pile up.  What I'm still baffled by is Drew Allar coming out of the game with an injury? He sure as hell looked enthusiastic on the sidelines to me. Strange.....

The only strange thing is you spinning a conspiracy theory that Drew Allar was faking it.

Lol. Sir, I think you have a problem with personal opinion vs. Conspiracy theory.

@mastert Not a big deal. You told us to enjoy this week's win, We Are! Top the PSU win off w/ a Rutgers loss and the way Su was dismantled, makes it all the more enjoyable. Thanks for playing!

OT, finally had a killing frost up here. Nothing but cole and root crops to worry about. Need to pick the remaining jalapenos. Thinking about trying to make some Kim chi. Have you ever tried making it?

It's a conspiracy theory when you are spewing nonsense about someone faking an injury for some unknown reason. Sure, call it an "opinion" that he didn't want to play. Suuuuuure

Never tried making kimchi,  but I had it before and enjoy it.  I have the fridge stocked with jarred Jalapeños and garlic. I eat them as side dish or with garlic bread. I also make salsa.  Jalapeños,  seranos , cumin, whole tomatoes,  garlic,  salt, pepper, olive oil.

I forgot to add the canned Rotel.

Serrano peppers,  Jalapeños,  white onion, lime juice, cumin, salt, pepper,  olive oil, canned whole tomatoes,  canned Rotel, garlic, Cilantro, chopped green onions or chives. Just throw everything in blender and chop. The best salsa.

You're not the first to tell me that.  I only like Cilantro if it's buried in something you eat.  It's a hit and miss for me. Some years it takes off, others not so great in the garden. Lime , Cilantro rice, yes. As I've said before I use it for salsa and sometimes spaghetti sauce.  If you eat it as is, it gives off a soapy taste.
