That podcast claims Clifford took himself out of the game at Michigan when things were basically out of control and that he did not leave due to an injury. I am not buying it. That would not be characteristic of Cliff. I think JF removed him to avoid injury.....
I don't believe it either Frodo, If by some chance it were true, I'd certainly change my mind about Cliff. But then again.... Ford shocked the sheet out of me, so I guess you never know.

Oh. I believe it. Do you see the pattern? Same thing last year against Iowa. Either someone is instructing him what to do or he's doing it on his own. Never witnessed him once come out of a game winning.
@forum-titan Gee, here & I thought we were winning pretty handily when Clifford got hurt in the Iowa game. But don't let that have any bearing on your false narrative.
You should be in politics.
@forum-titan: well there was the medical report that came out soon after the Iowa game that verified Cliff was indeed injured; but please don't let facts get in the way here.
That man on podcast only told the truth.
James Franklin might piss us off sometimes but I promise you he ain’t afraid to take a player out of the game for any reason. James Franklin is the boss and everybody knows it. I wish he would let CV get in there and get some meaningful snaps I just want to see for myself if I was seeing things last year in the game he started when we played pretty dang good and got the win just to see 😁
I thought Levis was better than Clifford, I thought McSorely was better than Hack and I thought Parsons was better than Farmer so please let me see CV play!
@forum-titan The only pattern we see is you're still trolling and still striking out. As Tsuga always says, Keep swinging Suzie!

Then you're blind, since we were up 17-3 when he left the Iowa game. SMH

Actually, it was two men doing the podcast. One, in their own words, a die hard Micjigan man; and the other an Iowa fan.
Cliff took one hell of a hit along the sidelines that more than likely slowed him down a bit.
One thing that came out of the podcast that I do agree with is their distain for Franklin's excuses after a loss. Last year at Iowa it was the fans, this year at Michigan it was the tunnel, at Pitt it was the handclapping on defense.
If what that podcast is reporting is correct Clifford should be finished as a starter at PSU.
Oh, I think he was hurt mentally and to some degree physically. My feeling is they wanted CV in anyway and there was some 'saving face' involved. But the truth is elusive.
@tsuga tsuga my man is in the house! it’s nice to hear from ya brother. Please check in and I hope and pray everything is good your way buddy. Don’t listen to that doom and gloom tsuga, 11 wins is on the way baby 😂 might need to make a few changes but we’re better than we played last week.
I believe we’ve all watched James Franklin for around 9 years now and he doesn’t give much information dealing with players unless he knows for a fact they ain’t playing. Just like last night with Lee, I didn’t know he wasn’t playing and I didn’t know Clifford got banged up but one thing I do know is James Franklin is in charge of the Penn State football team and he does what he thinks is best for the team. I don’t always agree with him but I do believe he makes the decisions especially who plays. Them dudes on the podcast don’t know anymore than we probably do they’re just speculating just like we sometimes do. Got the win last night 6-1 baby with a tough game Saturday if we come ready to play we have a chance. Like the ole ball coach use to say, you gotta play the game to see what happens. We’ll have to play a great game to win but we can do it we done it before. Ohio St really ain’t played anybody so it hard to judge how good they really are but their players are top 3 in the country ours are around 10th but you gotta play the game. We right where I thought we would be after 7 games so it’s been a really good season would be better if not for the blowout. Frodo had it right
I'm prepared for a loss to the Suckeyes as long as we give them a game and it's not a repeat of the Meatchicken embarrassment. If we pull off the upset I'll be thrilled and support a big raise & another contract extension for Jimmy, lmao!
Gotta say I'm one those who never goes in with expecting a loss at a certain level; what I do accept as reality is, when you play 110% and the other team straight up beats you, then you take the loss and move on; but never go in with expecting a loss no matter the odds b/c shit happens when you force the other team to beat you physically and mentally; they may not be as good as you think when they are faced with that mindset.
Well we were kind of thinking UM hasn't played anybody, and sadly some may still think that. OSU the same, I think we are #3 in the east and #3 overall in the B10.
#4 in the East is a log jam?
To beat OSU I expect we need to have a good game and get some breaks.
It will come down to our line play, if they play like at Michigan we will get rolled. However, if they play like last night we will have a shot. I think Michigan's lines are better than OSU's, but OSU has better talent in the skill positions. We my match up better against OSU than Michigan, based on our skill positions (DB) being very good.
Still an uphill battle
I didn't say I'm expecting a loss, I said I'm prepared to accept it, if it happens, as long as we give OSU a fight, unlike the MU debacle. I also said I'd be thrilled with an upset victory.
