Yeah, not that Urban is stepping down it figures that Delany would adjust. haha In all seriousness the BIG needs to do something. This exact scenario has been discussed time and time again so if he really wants to know what is best for the BIg he should just ask us Nits because we know best! LOL
Do away with all conference divisions. Go back to the way it use to be and play 10 conferences games and whoever wins the most conference games wins the conference if there’s a tie head to head, if the teams didn’t play take the highest ranked team that way everything means something even the rankings. Send the champion to the playoffs. Easy to fix but it takes control out of the people pulling the strings so it probably won’t ever happen.

Two teams end up tied for 2nd place, and neither played each other. So to break the tie, you use the rankings from people outside the Big Ten to pick the better team? What if one was ranked higher at the beginning of the season? Because of that they get 2nd?
Just a bad idea when you have 14 teams. With 10 teams it makes sense, when 4 teams a year aren't playing each other it makes zero sense.
Bottom line is Roam the true top 5 is the only fair and unbiased way to truly get the best 4 teams in. I’m the one that should be on tv telling Oklahoma and ND why you didn’t make it in. If I could’ve only did better in the class room Roam they ain’t no telling what I could’ve accomplished. I’ll stick to truck driving because I’m pretty good at that lol
How do you do as much commenting as you do being a truck driver?? And the time of day that you do it. I'm guessing you drive during the graveyard shift since the roads are typically wide open, and guessing you have a voice to text / text to voice translator?

Lol, I get up every morning and walk on my bow flex for 1 hr and then I check out nitsoftheroundtable and post before I come to work. Truck drivers have a lot of spare time when waiting at customers. I never even look at messages when I’m driving. 30 years driving with zero accidents baby and I want to keep it that way. I have 15 more years to go bob and then I’ll prop my feet up lol. I got it made bob, VERY blessed brother.

Good for you Southern... I would imagine just sitting around waiting for them to hook-up a trailer can get frustrating at times too, just sitting there waiting! If I may ask, what happens at 45 years? Is it some sort of pension, or did you just say that's when your done?
I’ll be 65 and have 45 years with Univar plus I can get my pension and 401k plus Social Security and then I’m going to travel the nascar circuit and go to every race that the cup series goes to. Man that will be fun. I’m in no hurry Roam just saying. I enjoy every day brother.

How about 13 teams in the conference, kick "Ruggers" to the curb. Play everyone once. That way no talk of "But team A didn't play team B". Best record. Winner Take All. I know it will never happen. It just makes too much sense.

I might drive 550 miles but I’m usually home every night. I probably stay in a hotel 4 or 5 times a month but when I do it’s steak and lobster baby with a 22oz Miller light lol. I show no mercy on the company credit card lol. They take really good care of me lioninsa. Ain’t no way I should get to live the life I get to live, only in America baby lol. I do thank JESUS every day for the blessings.

Agreed but with a caveat. There should be no conference that has too many teams. Must be that everyone plays everyone, period ! With my suggestion of needing a certain record to make the playoffs, that second place team could still get picked as a wildcard.

I agree BoB... I always thought 10 teams was perfect. 9 conference games with 3 OCC games
Do you think they’ll ever make the conferences smaller to 10 teams? The PAC and big 10 had it right when they only had 10 teams. Or do 16 teams having 8 on each side and have a championship game?

I think it's more likely to go to 16 team with a championship game.
