Texas and Miami fired him because he wasn’t gettin it done, it’s that simple. Hopefully he steps in and does a good job we gotta give him a chance. He will have good players to work with so that’s something to be optimistic about we’ll see soon what he can do.

At Miami he was the head coach, and they fired him. Who cares, when he was there as the DC he got the job done.
At Texas, Mack Brown was falling apart and used Diaz as a scapegoat mid-season. Later that same year Brown resigned. Mack Brown resurfaced at UNC, and what a surprise... their defense is abysmal.
@roaminglion You beat me to it Roam. That and we can see the meteoric rise both teams have experienced since Diaz got shown the door.

@nitwit248 I’m all for giving a guy a couple of years but with the players James Franklin recruited Diaz IMO should step right in and get the job done. We’ve recruited very good so I’m sure he’ll do a good job. I still believe when coaches get fired there’s a reason. Bill curry is the only coach I’ve ever seen get fired for winning 😂

@southern-psu-fan Can you imagine how much hell there would have been to pay if one of them were to have gotten injured doing that?? Bo was giving up 50lbs and still cradled him
