@psujoe

Back in the day when our players were true amateur scholar athletes, I was totally against booing them when they played bad.  However, in today's world with NIL and pay for play I think they're fair game.  When they stink up the house, boo to your heart's content, lol!

@roaminglion I give the team credit for beating SMU and Boise State but it’s still 2 good wins against good lightweight teams…nothing more. Georgia beat Tennessee, Texas 2 times. ND beat Penn St and Georgia. Ohio St beat Penn State, Oregon and Tennessee. Oregon beat Ohio St and Penn St. these are heavyweights Roam our best wins are against SMU and Boise St. there’s nothing wrong if that gets you excited but imo it’s games we should win.

LMAO... yes, Georgia gets credit for beating Tennessee because you see the name on the chest and ignore how crappy a team they actually were. Like somehow Tennessee is a "big win" and two other top ten teams are "lightweights"... because of the name.

Remind me again... Did Tennessee lose to Arkansas? But sure, tell me who they are such a huge win. Simple fact is you care about college names, not actual football product. Then try to say you don't.

@roaminglion I also gave Ohio St credit  for beating Tennessee and Georgia did beat Texas 2 times which you know is hard to do. Every win is good Roam but you know there’s better wins like beating ND. Pribula would’ve beat ND and Franklin let him walk. If I see something hurting  Penn State football I’m going to call it out and that loss to ND is a disaster and it’s the worst loss in  45 years imo. DA stinks in big game and there’s no way to sugar coat it. 127 yards passing is just awful!

@rip that must have been a hell of a long time ago  because since I’ve been a CFB fan players have been getting paid with free education/free meals/free housing/free transportation etc. Those of us who had to earn and pay their way through had every right to boo and complain when the ones getting a free ride aren’t doing enough to deserve it.

ok, I’m worried that this loss is the type of loss and QB play that is going to set us back for years. When Allar committed to us the recruiting experts said H.S. kids would be watching and follow how Allar is handled and developed and it’s going to have a major impact on future recruiting. Recruiting has already been in a slow decline and so far we’ve gotten some good players but haven’t done a whole lot in the  portal.

@psujoe  absolutely it’s bad for Penn St football for the reasons you give.

After spending the full season on the practice squad, Sean Clifford will join the Green Bay Packers' active roster for the playoffs.

The Packers officially announced Saturday afternoon that they elevated Clifford. They play in the NFL’s Wild Card round at the Philadelphia Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Here’s some good news baby. Love seeing the Penn St players make some noise in the NFL.

I love how you keep trying to hide from the fact that when it's a top 10 team with a big brand, well that's a huge win. But when it's a top 20 team that's not a big brand... it's a lightweight we're supposed to beat.

Then you try to claim you don't care about the name on the chest.

Durant and Wheatley coming back is good news. If Dennis-Sutton comes back it will be awesome news. Hearing Singleton is probably a projected third round pick and Allen a day 3 pick but people are claiming the odds are leaning towards Singleton back and Allen goes.

@roaminglion if you think beating SMU and Boise State holds the same weight as beating ND, have at it. Beating SMU and Boise were good wins but beating ND would’ve been a signature win imo. 0-6

I honestly think the only one on this team that should go pro is Carter...the rest of this team would benefit greatly from coming back if they have eligibility...Nobody is more disgusted and pissed off about that loss than me...They made the B1G championship game, got to the semi's and shoulda won...They got a lot to build on...Buy some WR's and develop what you got...I don't buy the baloney that this isn't an attractive program to join as a player...They have a lot to sell...I am looking for more next year from the program...

The real question is why do you think Georgia beating Tennessee is bigger than us beating SMU or Boise State?

Stop deflecting and admit you care about the schools name.

You probably think beating Michigan in 2020 is a bigger win for Clifford than beating SMU or Boise is for Allar.

You said McSorely could beat the heavyweights and was a winner. He was 2-5 in 3 years against the top 10.

Allar is not a winner and can't beat the heavyweights. Guess what his record is againt the top 10 in 2 years? 2-5.

Okay. Seems legit.

@roaminglion paint the picture the way you want to see it. Comparing DA play against McSorley ain’t even debatable.

Yes, I will paint the picture in reality. Not subjective BS in which I don't count wins because I don't want to, and count other wins simply because it's a big name and not actually a great team.

Also, stop deflecting. You've stated McSorley won big games against good teams and Allar hasn't.

Sorry reality doesn't agree with your conjured up viewpoint. 2-5 against top 10 teams. Both of em. That ain't painting anything, it's quite simply their record. They both beat 2 top ten teams, and they both lost to 5 top 10 teams.

The only people who argue that isnt right is someone trying to spin their own narrative
