Exactly why bowl games don't matter from a record standpoint. Most of the teams playing are a shell of themselves, but still fun to see some young guys or 2nd string get good snaps

Just add another OOC or conference game and do a 16 team playoff and season over for all the other teams. If these dudes don’t want to play bowl games then end the bowl games. The players don’t like bowl season anymore.

I'm hopeful that some of the boys down the depth chart will step up and prove that they want to play for Penn State. Clemson's Passing D is 119th in the nation - maybe the passing game will get opened up now that Kotelnicki is gone. Maybe we'll find out if Kotelnicki was justified or just a slow learner. My personal belief is that too many passes were thrown near or behind the line of scrimmage, and too many running plays were doomed to failure before the snap because of the defense's alignment. When the defense sucks up, burn them! And then burn them again........ And then burn them again until they stop crowding the line. Use the run to set up the pass and use the pass to set up the run. Take what the defense gives you and make them pay for their decisions.
For the student-athletes who have decided to opt out or enter the portal, I wish them the best. It is unfortunate that linebacker #25 will be unable to play due to injury. He flashed a few times this year.
