Was up in Oswego, aka "The Port City" and noticed a small war ship in the harbor. Having a little time to kill, decided to swing by and see what was going on. Apparently there was a PR tour going on with Swedish Navy. Didn't have my copy of Jane's Ships with me, so not sure what it was, maybe a corvette.
As I was ogling her lines, I noticed a bunch of vertical lines and some numbers under the lines. This baffled me to no end, so I asked one of the sailors as he passed by. He said, Ja, Dat eez dee bar code. Ven vee get bach to home port, vee Scandinavian. (scan dee Navy in)
