The only guilty one was the scumbag Sandusky the rest of it was a crock of chit! Murray called this back when the 3 guys went to court and he was right.

This is great news! It at least will ease the pain of the upcoming 7-5 season. The Cult is on back on track.

Curley and Schultz were idiots to cave. As for Sandusky, I still don’t believe he was guilty either.

He may not have been guilty of everything they changed him with but  IMO he was guilty on some of the charges. If he was guilty even on one charge I think he should get the death penalty. He went to court and was found guilty and none of his charges were overturned.

I agree.  I don't think he did what they say.  Times were different when back then.  Showering with coaches in the 80's and prior was common place.  School locker rooms were set up that way.  Judging the past by today's standards is not right.  I would even go as far to say I couldn't even comprehend pedophile behavior was possible until this whole thing got started.  I understand now that it does happen, but the way I grew up I never thought possible.  We are in sick times now and its getting sicker,  to quote the late Bob Grant.  All I'm saying is that most people find  this behavior totally unimaginable.  Just naïve to that type of evil.

There has never been one shred of actual evidence. All circumstantial and some hearsay. Some of the accusations were ridiculous.

You are so toxic, dumb. If that was the case,  Sandusky would be walking the streets.  You are brainwashed.

There has never been one shred of actual evidence. All circumstantial and some hearsay. Some of the accusations were ridiculous.

2000 - James Calhoun, a janitor at Penn State, tells his supervisor and another janitor that he saw Sandusky sexually abusing a young boy in the Lasch Building showers. No one reports the incident to university officials or law enforcement.

March 2, 2002 - Graduate Assistant Mike McQueary tells Coach Joe Paterno that on March 1, 2002, he witnessed Sandusky sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy in the Lasch Building showers. (On May 7, 2012, prosecutors file court documents to change the date of the assault to on or around February 9, 2001.)

March 3, 2002 - Paterno reports the incident to Athletic Director Tim Curley. Later, McQueary meets with Curley and Senior Vice President for Finance and Business Gary Schultz. McQueary testifies that he told Curley and Schultz that he saw Sandusky and the boy engaged in anal sex; Curley and Schultz testify they were not told of any such allegation. No law enforcement investigation is launched.

2005 or 2006 - Sandusky befriends another Second Mile participant whose allegations would form the foundation of the multi-year grand jury investigation.

2006 or 2007 - Sandusky begins to spend more time with the boy, taking him to sporting events and giving him gifts. During this period, Sandusky performs oral sex on the boy more than 20 times, and the boy performs oral sex on him once.

2008 - The boy breaks off contact with Sandusky. Later, his mother calls the boy's high school to report her son had been sexually assaulted and the principal bans Sandusky from campus and reports the incident to police. The ensuing investigation reveals 118 calls from Sandusky's home and cell phone numbers to the boy's home.

November 2008 - Sandusky informs the Second Mile that he is under investigation. He is removed from all program activities involving children, according to the group.

Thanks for posting absolutely zero evidence.  None. Zilch. Actually some of what you posted is 100% false.  Talk of brainwashing while looking in the mirror.  I will start it’s McQuery who NEVER said he saw anything. That was your lie by the writers of the grand jury report.

No janitor EVER testified. That was what you call hearsay. Someone testified that they heard someone mention something.  The janitor was hospitalized for dimentia. Lol. Someone else testified for him.

Youre so dumb you don’t even understand how big a monkey trial this was and the amount of money behind locking him away. The 2nd mile was loaded with psu trustees and others who threw a ton of money at this thing to bury it before actually thinking they could have avoided it all by staying out of it

I'm in Bill's camp.  Every one of the "victims" in the criminal case had lawyered up prior to any civil action.  No victim alleged any misconduct occurring anywhere but on campus.  Surely a pedophile would have engaged in acts someplace other than on campus.  Why?  Because the BoT wrote checks with no investigation and always go for the deep pocket.

As for Spanier and the others, how can you charge a criminal act for something that was not criminal at the time?  Ex post facto.

The PSU BoT was heavily vested in the 2nd mile and wanted this brushed away quickly, didn't want it hanging around and made the mistake of using their deep pockets to influence people and rig the whole damn trial.

Question for you Jag, have you EVER seen such a detailed and high profile case hit the courts that quickly?

No.  It was impossible for an alibi defense when the prosecution could not provide dates, times and locations for some of the allegations.  In order to supply an alibi you need time to investigate, The trial judge had been given his marching orders when he was assigned to the case.

McVeigh dropped his appeals, which put him in the fast lane for execution.

I don't think we should let Pipe bait us into rehashing the whole Sandusky mess again.  I wholeheartedly agree with Bill, Navyjag, OMPA1  and anyone else who thinks Sandusky may not have been guilty and that the trial and rush to convict stinks to high heaven.   However, the die has been cast and I don't believe anyone will change their minds at this point.  Congrats to Spanier for persevering, shame on Curley & Schultz for caving and sadness for how Joepa was treated.  I won't even talk about the BOT, Corbett, NCAA, Emmert, Delaney, PennLive, ESPN and all the others who gleefully piled on deserve.
