To me this is the right move. It made no sense to take so much precaution bringing kids back onto campus, but then to throw a bunch of them out on a football field... because football.
If you are going to go through all this to protect the kids, then protect them.
If the university cared about "the kids", they wouldn't raise the costs to attend college twice the rate of inflation for the past 30 years. They don't care about the kids. Don't kid yourself. The administration, profs and other only care about money. Maybe that's why half the school is from overseas. They can charge them more. If they steel a few military secrets along the way, oh well. We got some more money for the staff.
Harbaugh, Saban and Frost are ready to play and so is Ohio States players. Good for these guys to speak up.

I saw Trevor Lawrence’s quip, he saiid ( and I paraphrase) that he wants to play because that’s what we are here for. Silly me, I thought he was there for an education like the thousands of other students there.
