While I would never want to see Penn State drop the OSU game. I believe there is an advantage of being #5 and having OSU and Oregon beat each other up again in the B10 Championship game. They get a bye week to rest up and they host the G5 at home in the playoffs. Most likely would be follow on Big 12 champion, another Winnable game. Hypothetically LSU upsets Oregon, that’s a favorable semifinal match up for PSU. Obviously this is just for fun but it outlines what I believe is the most advantageous path to the national championship game.
