Good game today but we still have a few things to clean up before the Michigan game. I still believe we blow CMU out if we just catch a few passes but regardless we got win. Michigan just got by Maryland so big 10 play might be very competitive this year. We’re sitting in a pretty good position in my opinion because we have Minnesota and Ohio St at home. Disapointing win across the board. I want to hear that we were playing a lot of different guys and working on things.
A let down after Auburn and neither Auburn or Purdue are looking as good as I'd hoped.
MSU looking bad and Minny looking real. UM, MN and OSU may be the three toughest back to back games on anyone's schedule.

Yes, it wasn't as pretty as I had hoped for but, all in all it was a good win. We're 4-0 and you can't ask for more than that at this point. Don't work too hard. Remember, as they say in the portal, the grass is always greener on the other side, lol.
Lol that’s a good one BK. You’re not going to play light out every week and we scored 5 TD’s again so imo it was a pretty good win we were never in jeopardy of losing we scored when we had to. We lost a lot from the defense last year so these guys on defense are still gettin their feet wet and plus this is Diaz first year. The defense definitely needs to improve and I believe they have they just need more playing time. Just win baby and worry about what you need to improve on in practice the next week. I’m very satisfied with the season so far baby…4-0😁
We are not MSU or Miami...that's a plus. I feel we are closer to a 3 loss team than a 1 loss team. Time will tell. I thought I'd know more after the starting 4 games.

we need to give Brenton Strange some love too, this dude is having a good year and he’s catching the football. Need to get him the ball more because he picks up yardage after the catch.

The season is going to hinge on how the team reacts after we do lose. Under Franklin it rarely stops at one loss but instead turns into a 2 to 3 game losing streak. In a competitive conference you have to be able to get back up after a loss and it’s something they haven’t been able to do.

That'a a great point, we certainly do tend to underperform after a loss.
We will end up beating Ohio State or Michigan and lose to Minny or Maryland! Love this 4-0 #11 spot, but I didn't like that game yesterday. They needed to have that game signed, sealed and delivered at halftime and they didn't! Like I said, I don't think for a minute they were ever in trouble, but any of the current top 4 teams would have had that game in the bag early!! Who knows, maybe yesterday was just another learning experience for this team and next weekend they look and play the part!!

@mtnittanylion yup we sure looked like at least a 2 loss team to me. We’re probably the most overrated team in the conference and Minny the most underrated. Ciarocca probably can’t wait to play us!
Outside of Ohio State, there is NOT a team remaining on Penn State's schedule that they can't beat. I am not saying that they will win all of these games, but they are as good as any of them. They need to execute on both sides of the ball against NW and look like a number #11 ranked team! This is by far the worse team they will have faced so far this season. They need to blow NW right out of Beaver Stadium, call it the day and head to Ann Arbor 5-0. The Michigan game is going to come down to field position and I think Penn State has the edge here. Penn State is going to move the ball against Michigan, I am sure of that. They just have too many weapons to be held at let's say 17 points or less. This will probably be a very close game, but I think Penn State has the edge overall. Give our defense another three weeks and they should be ready. I can't look too far into yesterdays game. C Mich had nothing to lose and they played a very good game. I think they just caught a Penn State team coming off a big game and not really feeling it playing a 26 point underdog! I don't expect to see another game against a bad team like we saw yesterday.
I am really interested in seeing Minny vs Purdue. Purdue had a chance to be sitting at 4-0 today and after that loss to Penn State, they just went sideways. I have got to believe Purdue is going to bring everything they have to keep their West Division hopes alive.
Who knows, Roam. Penn State is winning, they didn't pull an Illinois fiasco yesterday, they didn't let Purdue ruin their season and they did a very nice job against Auburn on the road in stadium you even said was difficult to win in. I like were we are, I like what we have and I think we need some more time to work out the bugs....and there are not that many bad bugs.

I would not be too sure of that, considering Georgia was only up 32-22 on Kent State in the 4th quarter yesterday!
Michigan barely got by Maryland guys. It’s hard to win these games and it’s hard to blow teams out every week. Minnesota is Minnesota and we’ll run all over them they really catch us at a bad time because our young studs on both sides of the ball are growing up and that’s good news baby.
If we come out and struggle against NW then I might be a little concerned but looking back at the CMU game the reason it wasn’t a blowout is because we didn’t catch the football a few times to put CMU away. We’ve gotta catch the ball against the better teams because we’re not good enough to make mistakes and beat Michigan and Ohio St we need to bring our A game. I believe if we get after the QB we’ll beat Michigan.
Not sure I would compare Kent State to CMich. 3 out of 4 of Kent States games have been against top 15 ranked teams.....#1, #7 and #15. Play with with the big dogs and you start to act like the big dogs!!

Central Michigan played top 10 Oklahoma State and us. Not sure why playing 3 top 15 teams is not comparable to playing 2 top 15 teams.
Plus, Central Michigan was a better team than Kent State last year also. Just saying, they are very comparable.
