I believe we’ll be a better football team but that doesn’t mean we’ll win more games. I’m going with 11-2 again and I believe we beat Ohio St and lose to Michigan. IMO the goal every year is get 11 wins but there will be years we’ll get more than 11 wins and it’s very possible that might happen this year. It’s hard has heck to get more than 11 wins unless you just got better players at every position like Georgia and Alabama. The QB is always the key to get to the NC game so we’ll have to wait and see if Allar is that special QB that gets us a NC because the pieces are in place at the rest of the positions on the field except maybe at kicker. We gotta fix that kicking game. I hope Michigan ain’t in our head’s again because our players are as good as theirs. I’m just not feeling it playing Michigan as of today. It’s games like Michigan where James Franklin needs to step it up.
Just read on pennlive that Tinsley, Washington and strange had good things to say about Allar. I couldn’t read the whole article because I’m not a subscriber but that’s what the headline says. Man I can’t wait for the Spring game to see this kid play. We ain’t seen a whole lot just a few plays in mop up duty.

I don't know, Southern. We have Meatchicken at home. Beating the Suckeyes at the shoe might be more of a challenge. Maybe we win at home and lose away, but the optimist in me thinks maybe we win them both!
@southern-psu-fan Not sayin' Allar won't be something special, I'm just a wait and see kind of guy. I have hope every time I buy a lotto ticket too. But as you can tell, I don't hang out on the Gulf Coast too much. Although I did kind of like the Biloxi area.

Our season is very favorable IMO, so we really should be 10-2 at a minimum. Michigan is at home, so Allar should be humming at that point and I don't think Michigan will be as good as they were the last two years. As for the Buckeyes, couldn't ask for a better setup heading to Columbus. Bye week, Umass @ home, then to Ohio State. Buckeyes will be coming from an away game at Purdue.
We should have a great year, defense should be very good and Allar has some good early games to get up to speed.
There’s no doubt this team is loaded and a B1G title +playoff berth is possible but there are two or three things that are bothering me and making me nervous. One is the lack of experience for all QB’s and the second concern is the thin RB room, an early season injury or two at those positions could take us from title contender to middle of the pack in the B1G East. And god help us if Allar is a bust because we really don’t know how good the kid is since he never really got a chance to show it.

I still believe there needs to be a QB competition to make sure we get the best kid out there. I want to also see the kid Pribula get some snaps in the spring game he was supposed to be a very good QB in high school. Best players play not who has the most stars. On another note I’m looking forward to the NC in wrestling we won the big 10 and sending 9 to the championship. Let’s go Penn State wrestling

Southern,,,I have had one hella of a 4 weeks!! My dad fell down the steps AGAIN and just had two major brain surgeries in the last 10 days and guess what? HE WAS WATCHING the Penn State Basketball game tonight and scratching lottery tickets! I have NO clue how this 82 year old guy is still ticking! I got him into rehab over by the stadium in state college and he is just doing fine....for the most part. I hope to have him home for the wrestling finals, but I have to be honest. As big as a wrestler and fan I am, I love Penn State basketball more. my goodness, if every game ended with 2 minutes to go, they would be 33-0!! These guys have a chance to make a major impact in the March Madness. The wrestling team? They are just nasty and should win it all!
Got a lot to do over the next few weeks getting my dad home, But I am still here, reading post and I will catch up with you all later! Hope you are all doing well!
