With an increasing number of players opting not to participate in the bowls, I agree, sheet can them.  I'd be fine with a 16 team playoff.  Cut the regular season back to 10 games and wrap it up by the 2nd weekend in November and then let the fun begin!

No. Keep the bowl games.  Adopt and expand the playoffs. It's nice to watch bowl games over the holiday season. 

@forum-titan Yep, expand the playoff. Maybe keep a few for teams w/ decent records, bump it up to 7 or 8 wins. Maybe eliminate some of the "Nobody's gonna watch it" bowls, 'cause there sure seems to be a lot of them.

Yes, absolutely.  Run a comb through it and downsize the bowl games.

What about adding 1 more regularly season game to the schedule and take the top 16 and do a playoff. I like this idea because the regular season people still like and it gives every team one more game. No more bowl games

~39 bowl games not counting playoffs; something like 88 teams involved. Might as well just open it up and have a full blown December madness playoff, factor in byes, and factor in the Sugar, Cotton, Rose, and Orange for tradition and wrap it up by the second Saturday in Jan; or something along those lines.

Oh, and no NIL money payout until your team is done playing.
