It’s 5 o’clock somewhere lol Trying to get the yard work done so we can head down to Panama City. It’s been kind of smoky down here the last few days I hope y’all are doing okay up there I know it’s much worse with the fires. 81, have you noticed the haze in the clouds? I’ll check with you guys and y’all take care I’ll be gone a week. I usually get up earlier than the rest of the family and drink a Celsius energy drink if we don’t plan to get Starbucks chocolate cold brew man I love that stuff. 2 more months baby but I’m not rushing any time away I enjoy every day lol
Definitions matter. I would argue that Joe was a great coach even if he hadn't won a NC. At this point I'd say that JF checks most of my boxes and as for the ones that matter to the masses he is 1-2 wins away in a couple of years. I just don't feel like he has been able to get a team to play over their heads like Joe did IMO.
But times may be tougher now. The game is more mature and more $ driven.
2016 team played way over their heads, absolutley no one saw that coming.
@roaming-lion if I remember correctly a few of us was predicting 9 or more wins while the snake and a few others were predicting around 7 wins.
@southern-psu-fan I would agree SPF. JF can't beat the big 2 unless we get a real game break of some sort. 11-2. We had two great games against O$U and they "finished" them both at the end. It could be better this year depending on the QB and injuries. It seems every year we are out of sync to me. Mr. Allar should have started last year as the AVAILABLE QB with others having moved on and then we would have a partly seasoned QB, great backs, good defense and a great line this year. When this QB is really in his prime ( not just great skills ) the backs will be gone and likely the O line at least in the experience category. O$U and Mich have so much depth and apparently coaching that year after year they smack us with a few wins by us here and there. To me JF is not a good game day coach as Lou Holtz once said of Joe.
