PSU will have to come up with serious money to keep our coach.

I don't see Georgetown as something that a bunch of coaches really care about. It seems like some reporters are nostalgic and want it to be some destination job.

Ewing wasn't really making much more than Shrewsbury, and considering the prices in Washington DC it's probably a net wash. I mean, they are a good program but coaches haven't been falling over themselves to coach there.

I think Notre Dame is likely to go after him too, and probably with more success.

Great points roam. Hope PSU can keep him. There is so much turnover in coaches today. To me, I’d much rather live in Central Pennsylvania than the DC area. At the end of the day, Shrewsbury will go where he wants. He is hot now and he’ll definitely get offers.

Brandon Shrewsbury is coming to Penn State next year to play for the Nittany Lions.  I think Micah may want to stay in State College to coach his son.  But it all depends on what he may or may not get offerred.  He has only been a head coach for 2 years.  But given this year's team performance and the gritty ball they have played, analysts now like to mention Shrewsbury as a candidate.  He is one of the new "sexy choices" that get added to coaching lists.

You're right Frodo, when you're hot your hot.  If the powers that be want to advance our Bball program, they'll pony up and pay the man!
