What is “Stick City,” you ask? If you were confused when you first heard this term you are probably not alone. It turns out “Stick City” is none other than the number 11 which was famously worn by Penn State Football greats such as Brandon Bell, Navaro Bowman and perhaps most famously by LaVar Arrington.

LaVar Arrington, in a video posted on his Twitter account, talks about what it’s like to wear number 11, also known as the sticks.

“Listen everybody them sticks at Penn State… Special. Them sticks at Penn State when you play Linebacker way more special. From NaVorro Bowman to Khairi Fortt to Brandon Bell to the originator himself yours truley LaVar Arrington.” – LaVar Arrington”

He went onto introduce the newest member of the Penn State Nittany Lions Football Team to wear number 11, Micah Parsons. Take a look at the video below to see how the greatest to ever wear number 11 welcomed the newest player to wear it to “Stick City.”

Micah Parsons wasted little time in responding saying “This is LBU, and what better way to rock it than with them with them sticks. We are!”
