Penn State announced that it has completed scheduling for the 2020 season. If you were hoping to see a continuation of the matchup against in-state opponent Pitt you will be disappointed as they were not surprisingly left off the schedule.
Instead, Penn State will open the season at home against the Wolf Pack of Nevada. The following week they will travel to Virginia to face the Cavaliers at Scott Stadium. Penn State closes the non-conference schedule back at Beaver Stadium where they will take on San Jose State. The San Jose State Spartans should be a nice way to get ready for the grind of the BIG Ten schedule that will start the following week with a home game against the Northwestern Wildcats.
Other big home games include Iowa on October 17th followed by Ohio State on October 24th which will probably serve as the White Out game. This, coupled with the away game at Michigan on October 3rd, will be a tough 3 game stretch that could be pivotal in shaping the success of the season. Michigan State will come to Beaver Stadium on November 14th giving the Nittany Lions four quality opponents at home. You can see the complete 2020 schedule listed below.
