Yup, and just as ridiculously stupid as when Obama won the Nobel. The reason the economy was so good for 3 years under Trump was because Obama worked hard to right it. If anyone thinks a President can affect the economy in his 1st year in office, they are just crazy.
As for years 2 and 3? Well considering we racked up 1 trillion or more in debt each of those years, he's robbing Peter to pay Paul. He is running our economy into the ground but people can't see it. He is literally putting us into an insane debt hole to prop up the economy now, and when it all comes crashing down he'll predictably blame someone else for it. And now with the pandemic, the debt has gotten wildly out of control.

Trump didn't make it better, he sacrificed long term stability to make it look better now. When you have a good economy, you don't spend trillions of dollars to go into more debt, you try to pay down the debt and balance the budget.
What Trump did was make it seemed like a good economy by paying for it with over a trillion dollars of debt every year. Any idiot can have a good economy when they're not paying their debts.Ā
And no, this debt accumulation is nothing like previous presidents. He promised to eliminate the debt in 8 years, however in a little over 3 he's added 7 trillion dollars to it. I am sure Trump and his supporters will spin some tale of covid being the reason the debt got raised so high, even though it was over 4 trillion before covid even happened

Obama took over a dumpster fire and spent money to put it out. He drastically reduced the deficit from his first few years down to $500-$600 billion.
Then Trump took over... and in a good economy added more than 1 trillion to the deficit every year since. 1 TRILLION A YEAR IN A GOOD ECONOMY. Do you really not see the difference? You don't? You don't see the difference in going into debt of over a Trillion during the worst recession since the Great Depression, and going into debt by the same amount when the economy is humming along and unemployment is low? The economy was getting on track and was getting better, but it's at the expense of the long term viability of the country. It's one thing to run up debt when the economy sucks (that's when you are supposed to run up debt to stimulate the economy), it's quite another to do it when the economy is doing well. Even worse is when the President running up the debt actually campaigned on eliminating the debt completely.

FDR spent much more than Obama did adjusted for inflation back during the great depression, because that's what you're supposed to do in a depression or recession. If you don't understand that simple economic principal there's really no point in talking about this more with you.
If you are really trying to equate Trump spending massive amounts of money with a good economy (even after Trump said he'd eliminate the debt) to Obama spending roughly the same amount when he took over a terrible economy... then this conversation is over because you either don't understand or don't want to understand the difference.
