I had to google Marvin Heemeyer to catch up on what you were talking about. That was some kind of revenge motivation on Marvin’s part!

Yes it was.  I only knew about it because I operate heavy equipment for a living.  So when this happened it kinda spread around our local.  This was before everyone had a computer in their pocket.  It was over a land dispute.  Him versus the town the neighbor over a number of years.  He finally had enough and you see what happened.

Reading how he built an impervious machine of destruction and how he considered the small things such as 6 inch bullet proof glass to protect his gun sights is clever if not genius. It also sounds like he built his own coffin. What a shame all that skill ending up in such tragedy.

Where is this documentary airing?

@lakerie.  I think it’s still getting shopped around.  I know it’s been seen at a bunch of film festivals.  I read an article that March it should be able to be viewed by the public.  I know Netflix HBO and Paramount have shown interest in picking it up. Looks like February 28 it will be available on digital platforms like iTunes or Amazon.

@lakerie There is a piece  about it on YouTube.   One where it shows the route of destruction Marvin took when he left his shop with the Killdozer. And all the buildings he went to destroy. And the reasons for the destruction is also told in the piece. Helps put things together a little bit.  It’s a pretty detailed look at it.  Looks like it was done with google earth maps so you can really see his path of travel well.  Some of the buildings remain some were a total loss and are not there anymore.
