Since you posted abut this recently, I thought it let you know that the CDC just updated their guidelines. You can take your mask off brother, if you're fully vaccinated the CDC is now saying you can go without one and you don't have to socially distance.

I'd still use caution, and I am sure some stores and businesses will still require them... but I think this is a huge step towards getting back to some semblance of normalcy.

I think they made the decision based on available science, and the feeling that enough people have gotten fully vaccinated or are on their way to gettting vaccinated that we don't have to worry about the people that haven't or aren't going to get one.

I just seen this roam I posted something earlier about gettin back to normal. If people would just get their butts vaccinated this thing would get behind us but some people listen to all the nuts bags that have no clue what they’re talking about. Biden, Trump and dr Fauci got vaccinated that’s enough for me that’s 3 big time important people that’s told people to get the shot surely they like and trust one of ‘em. Not talking politics just giving my opinion why it’s safe lol

Nice thing is it doesn't seem to matter much anymore. All the data is now pointing to it being very unlikely that you will catch it if you've been vaccinated. In the rare case that you do, it's unlikely it will be a severe case and probably very mild. Also, even then you're unlikely to spread it because the viral load wouldn't be high enough.

In short, the science is basically pointing to this: If you haven't gotten vaccinated, the people you are putting in danger is yourself and anyone else who hasn't been vaccinated. If you've been vaccinated, there's still a risk... but it's so low that it doesn't make sense to keep forcing people to wear the mask.

Our scientists or whoever is in charge of coming up with vaccines had a vaccine for coronavirus in 48 hours it just took 8 months to get it ready to give to people. We take vaccines for many things just like the flu vaccine that i take every year and I never get the flu. I got the flu one time back in 1993 and after that week of hell I get the shot every year. Between the 12 olives I eat every morning, the bow flex and all the vaccines i take ole southern will live to be a 100 plus I’m going to take advantage of the pension plan I have at work they’re going to be wishing I would die lol. It’s a great morning baby full college football stadiums are on the way! Now if Jehovah God decides it’s my time to go then so be it 😁

For anyone interested, this guy on another PSU forum wrote up this very informative, detailed article about the vaccine and how it works. It’s his profession and it is excellent, albeit a little long. If you are interested and have the time, it’s worth the read.

@lionbacker99 Thanks for the post! Man that was very informative and understandable! It's a shame that a lot of people will not take the time to read and educate themselves about such important things like this! Case and point. My Mom and Dad live in a 55 plus community. My Dada has very advance dementia, there are a lot of the other Seniors with medical conditions in that community.

There is a young gal (in her 40's) that cleans a lot of their houses. I asked my Mom if she got vaccinated being she cleans houses in a community of high risk people. She told me no she said she won't get vaccinated and she won't get her 2 high school boys vaccinated either because it will make them sterile.

If she actually did some research she would know that if they were to get COVID, that the infection could actually affect their fertility where as there is currently no proof the vaccines affect fertility.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I'm also not the dullest and I try to maintain that happy medium buy doing research and educating myself by reading brilliant articles like you just posted! Wish more people would do that!

Thank you very much!!

@navylion You are welcome and I agree with all of your post. Unfortunately, misconceptions about the vaccine are everywhere. I even hear it with my coworkers and we are in healthcare!!
