Smoked cheese seems to be growing popular.  Never got into it but willing to give it a try. What's the best cheese, what kind of wood?

I'd use whatever your favorite cheese and wood are. Or buy some already smoked, see which kind of cheese you like best.

In my book, it's ok, but not one of my favorites. Seems as though someone always sends me a hickory farm pkg for Christmas & there's always some type of smoked cheese in it. Haven't found one I'd go buy for myself. But to each their own.

I had samples at a party awhile back. I'll i can say is dam, very tasty! Now everyone is doing it. Some guy smoked cheese and rubbed it in some seasoning or something.

I myself got quite a few of them as Christmas gifts. And crackers.  Enjoyable

After 3 months my wax peppers and jalapeños are starting to sprout,  about 1 inch in length

Yeah, mine are starting to come on again. Big gap between the 1st flush and now. Many varieties of bells were sun scalded pretty badly. Will plant the last of this season's veggies in the next day or two. Drought conditions up this way, everything in the garden is at a standstill.

Here in NE PA we were really dry, drought warning at beginning of summer.  We got the rain needed and everything was back to normal.

Now, we are really dry again.  Last night at football game the field looked as someone sprayed it with 55 gallons of Roundup. Brown as can be.
