He wasn’t Catholic. I believe he was Christian.

@jimmy-v  I thought the Church of England was catholic but it practice catholic and Protestant which is ok imo both Churches are Christian. Peter was the first pope and Catholic is the largest Christian church in the world.

The church of England is not Catholic and does not practice catholic doctrine. Part of the more recent rift between Ireland and England was that Ireland was Catholic and England was very much not.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • The Church of England is the official state church of England, meaning it has a special legal and historical relationship with the government.

  • It is the mother church of the Anglican Communion, which includes millions of Christians in over 165 countries.

  • The Church of England was established during the English Reformation when King Henry VIII broke away from the authority of the Pope.

  • The British monarch is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

  • Beliefs:
The Church of England embraces both Catholic and Protestant traditions and teachings, with the Bible as the foundation of its faith.

  • Worship:
It practices sacraments like baptism and holy communion.

I do know the Irish is catholic. I copied that I didn’t write it. I knew a dude that was from the UK and he was catholic and he told me he was part of the Church of England that’s why I thought it was Catholic. If you worship Jehovah God through Jesus that’s the only thing that matters anyway.

One of the reasons Irish were hated in the USA during the early years is because they were Catholic. Go read about it, it's very interesting... Many people thought they wanted to give the country back to the Pope. Also, the Church of England may be respectful of Catholic traditions today, but that was not the case 100, 50, or even 40 years ago.

It is very cool history to read about. You've heard of Mary the 1st? She was Queen of England back in the 1500s and burned a bunch of people at the stake trying to reform the country back to Catholicism. You probably know her as "Bloody Mary".

If I didn't have to go bring in firewood, a Bloody Mary wouldn't be a bad idea, pretend it game day!

SPF, can't believe you didn't post on Hulk Hogan's passing.

And the irony of it all, most religions preach about getting along w/ your fellow man. But then kill anyone that doesn't believe in your deity or even customs of that church.

@roaminglion absolutely I know all about that burning the Christian people at the stake. Any time I get asked should folks get reparations I always say only if the Irish get their fair share 😂

Exactly BT imo is Jesus your savior and do you love your neighbor as you do your self in the end that’s all that will matter that’s how I read the scripture it doesn’t matter if you’re Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Morman or JW.

Man BT I was a huge fan of OZZY and the Hulk these 2 dudes were part of my heyday growing up having fun baby. Life is flying by brother but I’m only 57 so I’m hoping to have a few more decades of having fun I’m a blessed man always trying to have fun. I gotta get the grass cut shortly and then head back to the lake 😁🇺🇸🍺 How sweet it is lol. All the women in the family are going to Dahlonega, Ga for my niece 21 birthday at a winery for the weekend and all the men are going to my father-in-law at the lake.

Take 4 minutes and put your phone up to your ear turn it up and listen to how beautiful OZZY sings this song. It’s an old Black Sabbath song OZZY sang later on. My goodness that dude was awesome.
