Waiting for the ground to thaw. New deck going up. Hopefully I get some lumber before the price goes up again.  I hate  looking for decent PT lumber that isn't bowed, cupped and is soaking wet. Guess I will visit 3 box stores and choose the best. 84, lowes or home depot.  Also heard of lumber yard that's 30 miles away. Apparently they have the best lumber so I'm told.  I hate gauging joists but I guess that's still part of the fun.

Finally found a welder for our pandeck, so hopefully our permit comes in soon. Doing a deck, but will pour stamped concrete on top of it to match the patio it links to. Once done we will have a great side yard off of our kitchen.

The side used to be just a deck, and a big hill... but we dug out the hill and put a boulder wall in to hold it back. Should be nice once finished.

@roaminglion. Sounds nice. Are you able to watch the games outside Roam? Hopefully FT gets some warm weather so he can start spending money 💰 lol

I want a finished basement with bar and humungous TV to watch games.  That is a ways down the Road. Other projects are on the radar.

I haven't done that yet, but maybe a nice projector outside would be cool. The problem is with the weather in the PNW, the temp is fine but it tends to rain a lot during the football season. We don't really have a covered area that would be comfortable when it's rainy.

However, the summer is georgeous.
