Shouldn’t I be able to go anywhere I want without wearing a mask? You’d think if you’ve been vaccinated I could go to the stinking race. Even though I go to every race in Atlanta and Talladega I don’t get season tickets anymore because just in case it rains. Them scumbags wouldn’t let me buy any tickets and I told I’ve had the shot. If any of y’all got the vaccine shot do you still wear a mask? Dr Fauci said it’s a slim to none chance you’ll get the virus if you’ve been vaccinated so I put the mask down heck I was one of the few around here that wore it anyway and I got COVID-19 lol

Also, think about it and use common sense... If people went around saying "I got the vaccine, I don't need to wear a mask" do you think the American public would use the honor system? Like, everyone without the vaccine wouldn't just lie about it and not wear one? What would be the alternative, asking people to show their papers?

Here are the options:
1. Keep wearing masks. This option doesn't single anyone out, and doesn't allow those without the vaccine to simply lie about it and not wear one. All it means is masks on until a certain amount of people have been vaccinate... say 70%
2. Let people who have been vaccinated go without masks. This would lead to practically everyone not wearing a mask within a month, vaccine or not. Anyone who thinks different is naïve, Americans would simply lie because either "it's not right that some people got the shot before me and can go without a mask", or "my liberty is being violated" or some other reason to just lie about it. The only way to police it at that point would be cops asks people to show their vaccination records. This would lead to more protests and insanity. Scarlet letters for unvaccinated, people going to jail if they lied, etc. etc. etc. Ummmm... no thanks.

Ignorance played a major part in the spread of covid. Not listening, not wearing masks.
For a little over a year while wearing a mask I did not get Covid, the regular flu, nor the common cold. I might just keep wearing it to places like the grocery store, Lowes, etc. even after the mandate is lifted.
I have had the same thought. I think it will be more common place going forward regardless of COVID. Although, I still feel like I’m doing something wrong when I go into the bank or to the ATM.
I just saw a commercial for the upcoming Dover race last week. They are selling tickets for that one. It’s not Talladega, but the close racing makes it pretty fun. I did a driving experience/school at Dover about 10 years ago. My wife bought it for me for my birthday. It was a lot of fun. 3 laps with an instructor and then 10 laps driving by myself. I’d love to do it at Talladega or Daytona.
Personally, I can't wait to be mask off. I don’t want to keep wearing it, I hate it.
I will take a cold every once in a while, but until then my mask stays on.
I’ve worn a mask all day at work for years. Wearing one in public isn’t much of a hardship for me. And to Psumark’s point, first time ever that I didn’t get a cold or a GI virus in the winter.
@lionbacker99. I love AMS but there’s nothing like Talladega just the sound of the cars going into turn one on all the restarts with give you chills and put a smile on your face 99. If you ever want to go please let me know and I’ll get the tickets it’s a great experience people travel from everywhere for the Talladega race just like Daytona. I’ve got some Richard petty driving experience that I need to get done. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon and we can get back to business.
im with you roam I hate wearing that mask and putting it back on today stunk 😡. I don’t ever get sick I’ve had the flu one time in 93 and Covid this year and that’s about it for me. When I say sick I mean where you can’t go to work
I just read an article that Brad Paisley the country singer is telling people to get the coronavirus vaccine so people will listen to a country singer but won’t listen to the expert Dr Fauci lol man you can’t make this stuff up. Maybe it’s just the people I’m around but you’d be surprised that the people that don’t the shot they are scared it might be the mark of the beast and I’m not joking. I’ve got to get my second one tomorrow I hope I don’t feel like crap lol

Not surprising, people listened to a Playboy Playmate with zero training (Jenny McCarthy) when she insisted vaccines give people autism, including her child. Then it came out her child doesn't have autism, yet those people STILL believe she was right.
I got my 2nd shot yesterday and I just heard on the news Dr Fauci might tell us tomorrow that we don’t have to wear the mask if you’ve been vaccinated. More power to anybody that’s wants to wear it but if I ain’t got to wear it ole southern is taking it off baby.I hate wearing that mask!

I got my second shot near the end of March. No side effects except for an insatiable thirst for blood. Luckily that diminished after a few weeks. People were starting to stay away from me. ☺
