Leaving politics out of it can somebody please tell me why we give billions of dollars to Ivy League universities? I’m hoping there’s a good reason and if there is I’m good with it?
Money for research, among other things, that may or may not be such a good use of said funding.
Same reason we give tons of money to Penn State, MIT, CalTech, etc...Leaving politics out of it can somebody please tell me why we give billions of dollars to Ivy League universities? I’m hoping there’s a good reason and if there is I’m good with it?
Lots of research. One example is the Wyss Institue at Harvard. A ton of defense tech has come out of that place, and they collaborate with DARPA regularly.
if it’s for the good of the USA I’m all good with it.
Research and development. Just about every institution, university and company has some sort of R&D.
Just for the average tax payer like myself see tax money going to these punks out there protesting like a bunch of spoiled brats it’s a hard pill to swallow I just have to tell myself it’s not all the students it’s just a very few but the punks get a lot of tv time and they are destroying property and full of hate. These punks need to be suspended and this nonsense will stop.
None of it is going to the protestors, that money mainly goes to research projects not tuition or students in general. Also, at Harvard there are roughly 300 or so people on a campus protesting out of 23,000 students and 20,000 faculty and staff.Just for the average tax payer like myself see tax money going to these punks out there protesting like a bunch of spoiled brats it’s a hard pill to swallow I just have to tell myself it’s not all the students it’s just a very few but the punks get a lot of tv time and they are destroying property and full of hate. @roaminglion I agree that’s it’s not many but some of the protesters are students at these colleges. I don’t wa t to punish 99% for what 1% does.
