For me it's either Lime, Cilantro Tostitos with homemade salsa, loaded with jalapeños and garlic.

Or homemade jarred Jalapeños and homemade garlic 🍞 bread.

All that sounds good 😁🇺🇸🍺 it’s just about football time but I’m a green egg smoker so it’s ribs and jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese wrapped with bacon.

Just because it's something I remember fondly as a kid in Jersey, I love having a good sub for the game. So now it's a Jersey Mike's #13 Italian with chips and soda.

@roaminglion I love Jersey Mikes Italian sandwich but I eat subway most of the time getting the titan turkey but when I splurged on Fridays I get the meatball with as little sauce as possible because it gets messy but add extra pepperoni with jalapeños, onions, pepper jack cheese, olives, tomatoes , vinegar extra oregano, Parmigiana cheese. I get the pepperoni toasted by itself because I like my bread soft..man I’m going to go to subway after talking about this and I just had one last night 😂 the sandwich is called the boss

Not sure I have a favorite, but I can assure you there's no SUCKlantro included. lol Lil Suzie loves that nasty tasting crap. Being the swell guy that I am (ok, suck up) I grew some for her years ago. Couldn't even stand the smell of it when I was in the garden! Now I start them for her and she grows them in a 5 gal flower pot at her house.

The only constant for a game is beer and even then I try different craft brews.

In small quantities I like it. Cilantro never does good in the garden. Turns yellow. Stopped planting it.

@jimmy-v Actually grew very well for me. Kinda like a big parsley plant. Not the best grown in big pots either, but enough to keep Suzie happy.

lol If you bury a very small quantity in enough salsa, I can tolerate it. Finally getting corn, hoping the coons don't find it for a few more days.

Everything growing nice. Tomatoes,  zucchini,  cucumbers,  basil, Thai basil,  lemon basil, green onions. Pepper plants are growing tall and not one single Pepper yet. I'm starting to see small flowers. Very strange. Banana peppers,  None.....Jalapeños None,  Seranos NONE. Something stunted them. Farmer was spraying something back in early June. I'm starting to wonder if it might be what he was spraying.  Herbicides or weed inhibitors.  Whatever it was, I smelled it the next day. Kinda of like a chlorine smell.

@jimmy-v I think it's the heat. I have peppers that pollenated early on, but once this heat hit, not much luck. If they do start to form fruit, a lot fall off when they're an inch or two big. Watermelons are doing great, all the rest of the melons, nothing. Pumpkins and squash everywhere, so it's not a matter of me not having bees. But yep, odd year.

I thought about that myself. We did have some wild heat waves. Otherwise,  whatever they sprayed blew over. Hopefully I’ll get peppers soon so I can jar.

@jimmy-v Yep. googled it. 90 deg not good for pepper production. Once it cools off they'll set fruit again. Good thing you eat jalapenos green, but I do prefer my sweet peppers ripe.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a decent batch of peppers. We are already loosing daylight. This is the first year I planted lemon basil. Have you ever tried it? It's really good with just about anything.

@jimmy-v Yep, lemon basil, mozzarella and tomato slices, topped w/ a nice balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect for these hot days.

@southern-psu-fan Really good! Especially on a hot summer day when it's too hot to cook much.
