Screw China! Who are they to threaten to shoot our plane down. Rather you like Nancy Pelosi or not she didn’t back down from these bully scumbags. Screw politics, I’m proud of her. They know better brother!
What plane did they threaten to shoot down? Where did you hear about this?

They didn't, it was a Chinese newspaper commentator... much like if Tucker Carlson said we should nuke China, which would not be official in any capacity.
Thanks, I heard nothing about it and I look at a number of news sources.
I may have misunderstood who said it but this article shows she still ain’t going to be bullied by China. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-08-03/pelosi-stares-down-xi-s-threats-giving-china-a-reality-check
also, their media usually reports what they are told to say they are communist. USA ain’t taking no chit off nobody when it gets down to the nitty gritty time.

So their media is like most of ours? I recently read that only 12 percent of Americans trust and believe the press.
Jounalism and honest unbiased news reporting is dead and some of our news websites are disgusting to even look at.
@psujoe It’s probably tough for the media to be unbiased and trustworthy covering politics when the people they are covering are biased and lie through their teeth.

The press is bought and funded by politically aligned organizations just like our politicians being bought and funded by special interests. Very few of either of them can be believed.
A lot of people were afraid of 1984, however it looks more like Brave New World to me. In Brave New World the tactic to keep everyone under control was to flood the populace with so much information, they wouldn't know who to trust or what to believe. That... and keep them narcissictically happy with parties, drugs, and consumerism.
Not railing against consumerism per se, but just the out of control nonsense that seems to be developing now. People buying "virtual real estate" and NFTs for no reason other than 1: rich people saying it's the next big thing and/or 2: because they want to flaunt something they bought to everyone.
- To me NFT’s are more like NFM’s (Not For Me’s). Right from the start I was to set in my ways to grasp the concept.
