Has been shooting his mouth off again. This time he said Rutgers is 100 times better than PSU.  I did my grad work at RU ( in the early 70's) and can assure you that is not the case.  Apparently, he made that comment at an awards banquet in which he was named Rutgers Male Athlete of the year.  Heck, my sister won that award several  years back when they found there were no worthy males to give it to.

In other news, Desanto will be transferring to Iowa. Interesting that he and Spencer Lee will be in the same wrestling room.

Not concerned with Nick Suriano’s opinion on anything. If he is happy, then I am glad for him.  I hope all people find peace and happiness.

Suriano’s actions and comments are really head scratching although one would have to take in consideration the remarks of a 19-20 year old. I wonder if he will look back as a 40 something and feel embarrassed. Anyway, with Lee and a host of extremely talented freshman like Teasdale, Fix and Glory bursting on the scene, i dont ever see him winning a NC at Rutgers. He shold have stayed with Cael.  As for DeSanto, that was probably his best move uniting him with Lee and bein coached by like minded Brands Brothers. In my opninion i dont think PSU was a good long term destination with incominf Teasdale, RBY, Teske and Busellio after that. We sre loaded at the lighter weights. I wish DeSanto well.

As they say, at least there is a potential cure for youth and inexperience.

There's something more than just being homesick behind this story... Every time Suriano opens his mouth he feels the need to take pot shots, which wouldn't be the case if there was no bad blood.

I agree. Im glad that Cael and the rest of the team have taken the high road by not engaging in a battle of words with NS.

BTW: Thanks for the backup the other day. I appreciate that!

He also always feels the need to say, “it was my decision” in every interview he does. Which, strangely, sounds like he is overcompensating it and it wasn’t. Whatever, it’s water under the bridge and at the end of the day PSU is fine without him. Time will tell if he is fine without PSU.

Suriano moved up to 133. I always felt he transferred because he missed New Jersey pizza. Apparently he has consumed quite a bit of this Italian masterpiece.

He also knows he has no answer for Spencer Lee.

From the frying pan into the fire. Wait till he gets a load out of Seth Gross and Dalton Fix. RBY might provide some surprises as well. The thing of it is, he has all the talent in the world to be a national champ at 125 or 133 but his decision to transfer to Rutgers holds him back due to lack of work out partners. I could be wrong, we will see, I wish him well.

Nick is a great wrestler.  Nick wasnt a very good teammate.  It wasnt a very good fit at all and coach reached out to him several times to try to work with him.
