I would love to see the match up. Depending where Suriano is seeded and if he's heeled.

I'd love to see Suriano finish a major tournament without injury.

The Midlands is a major tournament  that he just won over the Christmas Holiday.

I meant a conference or national championship.  Been injured for all 3, want to see him compete.

The Midland and Southern Scuffle are 2 of the biggest tournaments with all your powerhouse wrestlers. You'll see wrestlers in both tournaments outside the B10 be crowned NCAA champs. Oklahoma State, Missouri, Lehigh, V.Tech, NC State all have good wrestlers. Last year you had place finishers in the NCAA, Ok State #3, Missouri #5, V. Tech 6. All these teams wrestle in either tournament. Suriano broke his ankle wrestling for PSU last year at the Nationals.

Great, not sure how many different ways you want me to say I want to see him finish in the conference or national championship.

I don't know how else to explain it.

I don’t think Steaky is looking to correct you but only adding information.

Yes, I know.  I already know about those tournaments and specifically corrected myself by stating conference and national championships.

I didn't really want to get into a debate at what constitutes major tournaments, I only want to see Suriano actually finish in the ones I have stated.

Suriano will never win a NC.

I agree. Would love to see this young man finish an end of the season tournament. I was hoping he'd have the mettle to knock Tomasello out but now I'm not so sure. NATO is peaking  while Suriano seems to be struggling.

The NCAA Ships will soon be upon us! You can keep your " March Madness". This is what it's all about!!

Not this year and it won’t get easier going forward. For one, the Rutgers room isn’t as strong like PSU’s without Megaludis as a training partner. Second, he will always have to contend with Spencer Lee as well as next year freshman Daton Fix (Oklahoma State) and PSU freshman studs Roman Bravo Young, Gavin Teasdale and Brody Teske.

Yep. I can' blame the kid for wanting to stay over to home to wrestle.  My grandson always wanted to attend and wrestle for PSU and we all knew he'd be happier being on the roster at Penn State than he would have been wrestling at another school.

As I recall, and my memory isn't the best; Lehigh, Pitt, and Edinboro all offered him.

I get the home State advantage as well though I’m guessing there were other factors in his transfer. His quest for a NC would have always been better served by staying in the PSU room with better work out partners and coaching. I am so impressed with your grandson, a huge boost to everyone that ever cheered for Penn State wrestling, please tell him I said so. Obviously his grandmother’s genetics made a victorious pass through 🙂.

Lol....thanks Lake. I'll let them both know.

I agree with what you said about Suriano's chance to win a NC  were better with us than Rutgers. Not sure why he transferred out but it could have been as simple as a pair of pretty eyes and soft, warm skin. It happens to the best of us!

No offense Steaky but for privacy reasons, I'd just prefer not to say. If you followed PSU wrestling like I think you do, you know of him. I'm sorry for not revealing his name, but he's kind of a low keyed laid back fella just like his grandpa. He used to be on Pennlive as Thepakid but I don't think he signed up on here.......at least he hasn't told me that he has.

OK. Can you give the years? Was he under Sunderland and Dave Hart. I've know Dave for years. His family and my family have been friends for years. Just had a nice discussion with Dave the other week. Can you give the high school. I'm curious. Thanks, and I understand if you can't.

Steaky, I understand your curiosity but I would caution against asking for anything from Tsuga over the public forum.

I would say the best option would be for him to email or private message you if he has privacy concerns.  Though he may trust you, he may have reservations with posting those details in a public forum.

Nothing wrong with asking though, but if you can give him an avenue to correspond with you privately he may be more willing to share.  Of course, it's up to him 🙂

Sorry steaky, I just can't do it. Roam pretty much summed it up. Lake knows who he is, if you ever run into him at a tournament or match; I won't mind if he reveals his name.

Yep. He sure is!!  He made me a great granddaddy to boot.  I think he's kind of fed up with the whole forum scene. I thought someone would have figured out we were related. I will tell you this much, if he would have found out the identity of a certain poster on here he would have broke him in half. I had to talk him down and get him to drop it. He's pretty protective of his old grandpappy!!

Whomever he is, it's obvious that you are very proud of him.  Which is GREAT!  Congrats, glad he is doing so well and that he gave you a grandkid you can spoil!!!!  🙂

Tsuga, I thought Thepakid was livintn when he first posted because of the way him and pepto was going at it lol, I was tripping out laughing, ole pepto was ok after you got to know him, hope he finds his way here even though he’s a stinking Michigan fan, I really enjoyed Thepakid, hopefully he’ll get back during football season. All you guys make it so much fun for me.
