Rutgers is coming to PSU for a dual meet this season. I hope that our fans give Nick Suriano a warm welcome. PSU wasn’t the place for him. He realized that and so did his parents. When he was here he gave 100%.
I hope that when Suriano is introduced he is not booed. We pride ourselves as being first class. This will be a great opportunity to show the world that WE ARE!
I hope they don't boo, but I certainly couldn't care less if he gets a warm welcome. He didn't just transfer, he insinuated the staff managed his injury wrong and didn't care about him enough when he left.
Don't boo him... but other than that I don't care if he feels welcomed back or not.

I hear you but taking the higher road is always better. I agree with how he handled his departure but at that time Suriano was a 19 year old kid. Besides, our fans giving him a sincere welcome, will show the world that WE ARE really means WE ARE.

Taking the high road doesn't mean you have to cheer him or give him a warm welcome. It simply means you don't lower yourself to booing or bad mouthing him.
I stand by my statement, treat him like any other opposing wrestler coming in.

You must be a pupil of Marcus Aurelius. Anyway, did you see Cael’s warm handshake after the dual in 2018?

I think we have different opinions of what a warm welcome is. Shaking his hand is just something I think all wrestlers should get. Respect all your oppenents.
What I meant was there is no reason to fawn over him
It’s pretty cool how we didn’t need him to win the last 2 national championships. We should challenge Iowa for another in 2019/20. Teske or Howard, maybe Schnupp “should” give us AA points at 125 and RBY will give us high AA placement points at 133, the rest of the lineup will secure a NC. Like Roam I feel indifferent about his return to PS but will cringe if he is boo’d.

Yes
Suriano is one tough wrestler but man ain’t he a lot of drama. He’s stepped up big to win the NC. I’ll admit I was pulling for him lol
So whatever it was with Suriano, he was a runner up NC and a true NC with Rutgers. You can’t argue that he has met and/or exceeded his goals with Rutgers and not Penn State. He is a rare talent and I wish he still donned the blu and white singlet...but you know what? We didn’t need him so we all got what we wanted in the end.

Well, I mean he did lose twice at Penn State due to injury... who knows what could have happened here otherwise. Certainly lived up to expectations at PSU when healthy
Suriano is taking an Olympic Redshirt so he will not be wrestling against PSU at PSU ever again. We may see him at the trials next Spring.
I’ll be pulling for him especially if he’s wearing a USA wrestling singlet
Not sure he will be our rep. He will have to get through Gilman and Fix who both have significantly more freestyle experience.
