My son Brett just got his 1st state champion in wrestling, he’s been coaching Temple high for about7 year and he finally got a state champ, we’ve had kids place before but this is the 1st State champ that we’ve had, I know y’all are use to it but we ain’t lol, man I’m proud of that boy.

SPF, congrats brother!!  That's quite an achievement.  The high school I went to NEVER had a state champion.  My grandson placed third in the state wrestling at the same school I went to. I'm happy for you you both!!

Thanks tsuga, man it’s exciting watching these kids win and extra special when it’s my son coaching ‘em, we also had 1 to finish 4th,  our kid John was winning 3-2 on top with 30 seconds left and he held on kept him down to finish, they had a great year.

Brett’s been coaching this kid for 5 years now so it’s his first but temple did have a guy back in 2006 that transferred in from Lagrange that won a state championship and believe it or not he was Brett’s coach lol, Gomez was his name and he taught Brett a lot,he coached Brett 3 years I think, man it’s funny how things turn out
