B10 championship this weekend. Remember to root for Nick Suriano at 125 for Rutgers. A former PSU'er. A Suriano win could help seal the deal for us. Suriano needs to beat Lee and Tomasello. I think he can do it!!! Joseph faces big competition too. Hopefully he learned his lesson with muscling in his 2 last matches.

I will not be rooting for Suriano.  He's on another team, and transferred within the conference.

Don't wish him any ill will, but certainly not cheering for a guy who chose to leave.

So what if he transferred. He wanted to be closer to home. Do you hold it against  Boise States, Kuhn, that transferred to Penn State. Last thing we want is Tomasello wrestling in the finals and win. Could determine  the Champship. However, I don't think it will come down to that. Transferring is normal. I surely wouldn't someone bad because of it.

Totally agree. Suriano needs to come up big against NATO and Lee........I'll be rooting for him.

Me too. I like Suriano.  Good wrestler and kid. Rutgers is no threat and I like the Rutgers program too. They have a good coach. I wish them well.

Hey Roam are transfer rules different for wrestling because he wrestled for penn st last year?

How is not rooting for him "holding it against him"?

He's on another team, I am ambivalent towards him.  WTF?

Yeah, other sports are allowed a one time transfer if their former school allows it.  Football has it too, but it is only allowed to an FCS school.  Wrestling and others allow it at the top level

And as for Kuhn, he's on my team now so why would I hold it against him?

What I wouldn't do is get upset about some Boise State fan not rooting for Kuhn.  Why should they, he left.  Not rooting for someone doesn't mean you hate them, I just really couldn't care less about what he does.

Lol, I agree Roam they (big 10) can all kiss my butt, I only pull for big 10 teams if it helps penn st. or if I’m trying to make a point like this year saying the big 10 was the best conference in football. I will admit maybe I pull for NW because I like Fitz but that’s it.

Ya, as much as hated to see Suriano turn his back on PSU I will be pulling for him if he wrestles Tomisello. If Suriano had decided to go somewhere other than PSU in the first place its likely we would have Lee this year. BTW, for everything I’ve heard, Tomisello is a great kid and a good student, it’s just I want to see OSU coach Ryan’s  best hope for a Big 10 and national championship dashed.

On another note, I woke up to a foot of the wettest snow I ever tried to snow blow this morning. This afternoon I’m off to the Big10’s. Good luck to all the wrestlers but especially the good guys from PSU. I’m looking for 7 finalist, Lee, Retheford, Nolf, Bo, Joseph and Rasheed and Hall. I genuinely think all will be champs except Lee.

Yep. If Tomasello gets knocked out in the semis by either Lee or Suriano that's going to be to our advantage. I'm not sure which Joseph shows up this weekend but I'm hoping the defending national champion shows up at the NCAA championships. That one's for all the marbles!

Safe travels Lake!!

Hope you had a great time Lake. What did you think of the Rasheed match? Rasheed looked out matched. Moore was definitely bigger. One of the reasons Sanderson went with Rasheed was because of his bonus points. Just about all his matches during the regular season were bonus points. He got a ton of them in the Southern Scuffle. If Cassar would have wrestled he would have been the #1 seed since he beat Moore in the regular duel.
Moore got Rasheed's number on the takedowns. Left him up, take him down. Hopefully Sanderson works out with Rasheed this week. I'm sure he will.
