I didn't see the matches, but I got some impressions by looking over the stats.
At 125: Did Teske just have an off round, or is he really 0-15 worse than the other kid? I assume he got injured, but the write up said "0-15". Also Teasdale is back on the team, but I don't know who is better?
133: Looks like Bravo-Young was dominating and then just got caught by a pin. Is that the case?
141: Lee looks strong
149: Berge seems to have the edge on Verkleeren, but still has some work and growing up to do.
157-197: Nolf, Joseph, Hall, Rasheed, Nickal LOL, pretty easy to figure out
HWT: Is Cassar the man there, or is Nevills still working back? Seems like Cassar has taken over the spot, though I'm not sure.
If my assumptions about the younger weights are true, my lord this lineup is insane. Has a team ever had 10 All-Americans on it? ...because it looks like this team could do it.
In the category of “What I Hear”:
1.) Teske- his first time wrestling college kids and although a 4 x Iowa state champ, has much to learn especially getting out from the bottom and could use some muscle. All in all he’ll be fine and has potential to all American at some point in his PSU career.
2.) Teasdale- he was supposed to wrestle but he might not have made weight or perhaps at the last moment didn’t feel he was in wrestling shape, don’t really have definitive answers on that. As for his competition with Teske, I hear from very solid sources he dominates Teske in the room, not even close. Teasdale has a tremendous amount of upside, just has to grow up a bit with some lifestyle changes. It’s unlikely he’ll hold 125# for 4 years.
3.) RBY- he might not have been feeling 100%, he looked pretty sluggish the first day and just ran out of gas when he got caught and pinned. He is going to be a great one but learning in his first year.
4.) Cassar vs. Neville- Looks like Cassar has the upper hand at this point. What is hard is having 2 of the top 6 guys in the same wrestling room.
Bravo - Young sick for a week with the flu.
Cassar has won the spot at HWT. He put 35 lbs on and trying to put on another 35lbs. Some of these HWT have 50 lbs on him.
Penn State team each had one wrestler per weight class. Nevills wrestled but not on the team roster.

You have to feel bad for Neville, a returning all American and challenger for a national championship. He is definitely a top 5 or 6 heavyweight. It reminds me of years gone by when Ira Lubert held the heavy spot until Dave Joyner returned from the football team. Joyner was a runner up national champ that year and many thought Lubert could have at very least won what was then the EIWL and possibly all American.
Steaky, do you hear the same about Teasdale vs. Teske?
Lake, did you get tickets for all sessions for the Nationals? We got ours. Did you see what they're going for now. Over 1,000 per ticket for all sessions.
I did. When the clock stuck midnight the day they went on sale I bought 4 and made hotel reservations. I might not be able to go, our first grandchild is due March 23rd. Luckily she lives in Pittsburgh
If you know someone that needs 1 ticket for all sessions, not mine but someone in our group I can sell them for cost.
Thanks for that guys, sounds like it's going to be a real good year. Interested to see how Teske / Teasdale ends up.
Lakerie, let me see about the ticket. I'll ask my father to ask around at the next home match. People that sits beside my parents bought 2 of ours. Are your tickets, the ones they mail to you? What is the price. If you can send me an email. I would say it's pretty safe to give your email on this site. I know the ones we got are by mail. I got a one bedroom hotel around Shadyside the day I got the tickets. It has a full kitchen. We got a really good price. 750 for 4 nights. 2 tv's and a full breakfast buffet. They have a shuttle to PPG.
I think we take it again this year...
Here's my email. Named after my Maltese dog. Rosebudbrown2011@gmail.com
Do you have the seat section, row and number? Thanks.
Teasdale is significantly better than Teske but is dealing with personal issues. Teske is a small 125 pounder but is expected to grow into the weight class.
