Has entered the portal with 2 years of eligibility left. Hmmmmm......tempting but I say it's a hard pass. Wonder if CS would have him back??
I thought the same but he had reasons to leave PSU behind. Reading as I do on bluewhite illustrated it was thought he couldn't beat out Devin Schnupp. Of course Devin is now gone and Robbie Howard is now in and hopefully healthy and fully recovered from his shoulder surgeries. That would be a great back up for Cale but not a great case for Teske to transfer. Maybe NI didn't have the right graduate program as his reason to transfer but who ever gets him for the next 2 years has a tough competitor and potential AA.
If he wanted to come back, I say take him. You never know how shoulders will hold up in wrestling. However, as you guys said, he had his reasons for leaving and I’m guessing they haven’t changed.
Just saw on the bluewhite illustrated forum that Teske will be the 133"r at Iowa (per Pat Mineo of the Wrestling Room. Huh! How about that!?
I'm not going to look up records but in my mind 'couldn't beat out D Schnupp' say enough? But then you say Iowa is making room for him?
@underlion Teske has a 33-13 career record. He was a Big 12 champ and a 2 time NCAA qualifier.
Good point. We have been weak in the light weights for too long. I guess it hurts and you really hate to lose anyone to our friends in Iowa. The light weights remind you of being a Cubs fan....always next year.
Speaking of friends, I found it a bit odd while watching the B10 network football that Rutgers was advertising wrestling tickets. I guess if PA is a wrestling epicenter yyhey should be able to get reasonable attendance. Especially if they keep improving.
