Anyone here from the York area? What do you know about York catholic? They're undefeated, just wondering if anyone actually saw them play. Do they have any D1 players?

York Catholic is undefeated in football?? WOW!! Way back when, when I lived in York their basketball teams were always top-notch. They had a pretty good string of teams back in those days....won a few state titles as i recall. Back in the mid to late 70's and early 80's I believe.
They face off against a very good Southern Columbia football team with Julian Flemming, the WR Franklin wants . I'm hoping for a great game, but Southern Columbia has the upper hand. Very hard to slow down.
I would like to see York catholic knock them down.
When do they play?? Do they still play the championships down in Hershey??
Saturday, 1pm @ Shamokin. Yes, state finals are played in Hershey. Next week will be east and west finals. Next week will decide who goes to Hershey.

Well, Cole Witman is the son of Jon Witman who was a standout at at PSU and played in the NFL. I have only seen highlights of Cole, but I would say he has some good genes going for him and could possibly play D1 somewhere.

Was that during the Tisen Thomas years?? Im thinking it was. My kids and some of my grandkids went to Central but i can remember some good games between York High and Steel High. Im also thinking they stopped having Friday night games between the two teams because of all the fighting....but my memory isnt too clear on when that was.

If there are "east and west" finals, how the heck has State College High School already played a team from Erie Country and a team from Pike Country? Those two counties are pretty much as far east and west as you can get in PA.
Sorry, you lost me there. I don't have a clue what you are talking about. East side of state have disrict playoffs, quarter finals, finals and the west side have district playoffs, quarter finals and finals. The winner of east and west goes to Hershey. Please, you people are so "anal" about terminology. Every person sees it differently. A guy I work with has a kid in football. He refers to it as "conference championship ", however we dont have knuckle heads around that laugh at people or correct them like a person did earlier. See, that's a problem when people get so anal and over sensitive about terminology in high school football playoffs. There are far more important things to worry about than high school football and what terminology they refer to. Lol, have a nice night.

Sorry junior. There are no east/west finals in two weeks. The winner in the D12/D3 6A plays the winner of state college /pine richland for the right to go to Hershey. In 1A the winner in Scranton plays the winner of two teams west of altoona to go. In 4A two teams in the east with play to meet two teams in the west next week. So as you can see there is no true east west semi week. As for my pathetic site (actually I have two) we’ve covered nearly 500 games this year. Had 9 live webcasts. Pathetic? Lol!!

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering how State College's side of the bracket could have Delaware Valley and Pine-Richland in it if brackets were separated by east-west. Not only that, should SC win they move on to play another team from the east... So their last three games would have been against a team from the east, then west, then east again. Huh? Lol
