Why are sanctions still being brought up? Franklin is an average coach and a poor developer of talent because his coaching staff should all be coaching high school football teams. If the coaching staff was all fired today, none of them would be hired by other schools.
Alabama took PSU’s best coach, Gattis. And Gattis was critical in getting Shane Lee, John Metchie, and Antonio Alfano to Bama. PSU gets Corley to replace Gattis and PSU WRs have 26 drops, can not get space from DBs, and run questionable routes.
Gap is not closing after watching today’s debacle.
That would be Chaz Wright, who was outplayed early in the season by Fries and replaced. So yes, pretty sure he is worse.
Because the death penalty sanctions happened and they are real and they are still hurting this team. Parsons was a 5* recruit from last years recruiting class and even though he’s better than Farmer he should be redshirting and hoping to start his Jr year, that’s where Michigan and Ohio st is and that’s where we are headed it’s just going to take time to get there. Murray is a recruiting expert and he’s said many time 2019 or 2020 would be the year we would see big results. James Franklin has been coaching his butt off the last 4 years and we’ve won a lot of games but he’s still coaching with one hand tied behind his back. He needs both hands to beat Michigan and Ohio State
Good teams get dominated all the time. Clemson 31 ohio st 0. Penn st 42 Michigan 13😁
PSU has won a lot of games they should have won and jack chit with the rest for the most part. Give it a rest dude. Its time for the organization to move on just like any other successful organization, put up or shut up.
And Murray gets excited about PWOs. It is plain and simple, 5-Star recruits want to play and play now. In three years, Parsons will be playing on Sundays and it is a ridiculous thought that Parsons be redshirted. He is the leading tackler on defense. Just think if he was redshirted, PSU would be 3-6. Brandon Polk needs to be benched and Jahan Dotson to the starting line-up. The talent post-sanctions filled uniforms and the talent that Franklin got the past three years need to be on the field.
i could remember when there was a concern about Fries burning his redshirt. When I saw Hudson overpower Fries, he either quit on the team or is horribly bad.
The offense starts with the QB. However, much of the blame was rightfully attributed to the receivers dropping catchable balls. But now it seems that the fault lies with McSorely. Perhaps, he has lost confidence in them. But it seems that Hamler is the only one that is consistent. Dotson also is beginning to look good. But they're two slot receivers not WO's.
So much young talent there, I certainly hope Shorter shows up next year. We need him
That would be Chaz Wright, correct?
Another ugly loss at home. The Nittany Lions will get physically dominated once again. 34-14.
Fries started the game at RT.
How is there going to be any "push" upfront, when the linemen don't even know if they are pass blocking or run blocking on any given play? Time to put the RPO to bed
