He is showing up as the #3 QB. Doesn't look to me like it was a good transfer move for him. If he stayed at Penn State, he would be our #2 QB.
Grass is always greener...from a distance.
Too bad, think he was oversold by a smooth talking coach or has he underperformed? Or maybe #3 on the chart doesn't mean anything.
I think the Kentucky coaches probably found out why we didn't really want him to throw too much when he was in.
Used to be you go out tomorrow and try harder. Today, you enter the transfer portal again I guess!
Amen to that, Southern!
I personally love the portal, Joe Burrow won the Heisman at LSU and by all accounts was the hardest working player at both OSU and LSU.
He simply was never going to get a chance at Ohio State, even though the Buckeye coaches said they loved him.
@southern-psu-fan My hope is that student-athletes are able to use the portal to improve their lives while pursuing degrees.
TJ Jones transferred from Penn State to the University of Alabama at Birmingham this year and I am looking forward to watching him and the Blazers in their new stadium this fall. He received a short mention in an article published today.

@tae-buetel I was in Birmingham last week and I saw the new stadium and man it looks great from the interstate down town. Hopefully we can get a bowl game there.
Speaking of Ohio State, is it possible for a QB to hit the transfer portal before he is out of highschool?
Yea I know.....he will graduate from HS early, forego his senior year and be the youngest on record to hit the portal.
@southern-psu-fan That is good to hear. UAB has a growing program and new facilities will help. The university is also trying to increase the fan base. As season ticket holders for the first year of the stadium, we were told that we would receive a commemorative plaque. I really hope the parking is as good as the Legion Field parking. It was incredibly easy getting to and from the stadium. I also hope the alumni association has a catered food tent like the did at legion field. We tried to pay a couple of times but they wouldn’t take my money. They usually had bar-b-q from a local vendor with servers. They also had Alabama white sauce and a lot of sweet tea.
Wow! Good for him! Makes you wonder what the heck was going on last year, but my hope is both he and Clifford have great years!
