I’m not sure how many of you are aware of the current contract dispute between Verizon and Disney. Apparently, the two parties can’t come to an agreement for Verizon to carry the Disney owned channels in 2019. This includes ABC and ESPN, which are both owned by Disney. If an agreement isn’t reached by 12/31/18, then the Disney owned channels may be blacked out beginning on 1/1/19. For many of us, this would impact our watching the PSU bowl game. Let’s hope it is settled by then.

this is what we get when the government won't follow their own laws and not allow monopolies. who thought this would actually go different? of course when companies like Disney buy up everything, they can demand ridiculous prices

It's called "Big Business", Roaming Lion. Disgusting.  I'm an independent voter for a reason. But I came from a family that believe in helping the poor and less fortunate.  And I'm so thankful for how I was raised.

Cut the cord and go with a streaming service! I did it a couple months ago and went with Hulu Live and love it. Hulu Live gives you all the sports you could possible want including the B1G and SEC channels + the ESPiN channels, CBS sports, Fox sports 1 and 2, NBC sports and 4 NBC sports regional channels. I also get more than enough cable channels to keep me happy plus local channels. $40 a month for up to 5 devices, no equipment to rent and no contract.

I had DirecTV and got tired of them changing my channel package whenever they wanted. This past spring they took away  the NHL Network right before the playoffs. Instead of upgrading to the next higher package I cancelled my service.

I have Dish and so far so good... HBO is dark right now, but if I really want it I can use the HBO Go service. Everything else is great on Dish... FOR NOW.

Comcast is my internet, and it's great. However if anything ever happens god help anyone speaking to their "customer service"
