article is on pennlive. James Franklin imo hit a home run in the transfer portal again. The transfer portal has been good to us but I’m still not the biggest fan of it. I just need to learn more on how it works but the bottom line is it’s been very good to us the last few years.
IMO the transfer portal is a great thing, or it would be without NIL. IMO if you sign a deal or get money to play there, that should disqualify you from entering the portal. That's a contract you signed to play there, because we all know it's pay for play. No NIL deal? Sure go ahead and use the portal all you want, but once you accept money then you should be locked in.
@roaminglion It might be all these changes that I don’t like at one time because I’ll admit I don’t like a whole lot going on in my life. I’ve always had my teams and I stick with ‘em win or lose. Maybe I’m making more out of it than it is because during the season the only difference imo is a few new players the game is still fun as ever to me besides 9 of our best players not playing or had limited playing time in the bowl game when I paid a $1000 to watch them buttholes 😂
Good idea Roam. Makes a heck of a lot of sense. Unfortunately, I don't think it would fly in today's world. The concept of there being consequences for your actions has pretty much disappeared!
