IMO it’s made strides in parity in college football in a very short time. You better come ready to play every week or you might take it on the chin. Might not be many more easy games anymore when conference play starts. Iowa pounded Washington and Rutgers gets stomped by Wisconsin. Minnesota beats USC last week and we almost took it on the chin today by USC. You better come ready to play is all I can say. We got the win today baby but we better get the LB’r position fixed because 13 got his ass handed to him today and 41 wasn’t much better. These 2 dudes are struggling they better grow up fast or we’ll continue to struggle with plays up the gut and in pass protection.

Are you happy about today's performance? Good turnaround after halftime.  I called it in the chat room, overtime.

@mastert I’m always happy when we win especially when we didn’t have our best game playing on the road. These games are hard to win.

It’s just 2nd quarter but UCLA is up on Minnesota 7-0. I’m assuming it’s better for us for UCLA to win? Maybe it doesn’t matter lol

We are 6-0, probably moving to #3 tomorrow and we are in great shape to make the playoffs! Lots of good things came from today, so hopefully with the bye week, we can rest and be ready for Whisky on the road!

GO STATE!!!!

We play both, but shows you what travel is like.

Washington beats Michigan and then travels to Iowa and gets hammered. Minnesota beats USC, then travels to LA and is losing 10-0 at half to UCLA?

@roaminglion  USC has had 3 very tough losses. They just haven’t found a way to win. It has be aggravating losing the way they’ve lost the 3 games. We would have James Franklin head on a platter 😂  glad we won it’s sucks losing going into a bye week

USC is always a big win imo. The transfer portal is evening things out and it’s showing up on the field. Look at all the games yesterday and last week. It’s getting harder to win. Teams like Alabama, Georgia and Ohio st can’t sit all the god players anymore.

Please explain how these two things can be true...

"USC is always a big win" & "The PAC 12 sucked as a conference"

USC is a big win, and a great program... yet they played in a shitty conference that they could only win 1 time in 15 years???

USC lives on ancient history from the 1970s and the Pete Carroll cheating years. That's it. They have 1/2 a title in 50 years.

Oh stop with the strawman BS. It's a good win, but you consistently called the PAC soft then say a team that stunk in it more often than not is some tremendous program that was a world beater

@roaminglion I’ve always called USC a big dawg so you stop. Oregon and Washington have been better than average the rest is mediocre at best. I don’t believe Utah has always been in the PAC. When is the last time the PAC won a NC? There you go

So why is USC a big dawg if they couldnt win that conference?

It makes no sense. Shouldn't a big dawg, you know... win?

You are correct, they joined the PAC in 2011. They were placed in South Division with USC and in that time beat USC consistently, won more division titles than USC, and won more PAC titles than USC.

So for the 14 years they were in the same conference, Utah was without question the better team and program. I believe USC has a higher ceiling, but they have not produced on the field consistently.

@roaminglion how many conference championships and NC’s has USC won? USC has been down a few years but that happens to most teams where they go through a tough time.

Go back 50 years and count them if you want, I dont care about the 1970s.

I guess USC just told themselves "we won bunch titles back in the 50s, 60s and 70s" every time Utah beat them.

Since 1980, in 43 years USC won the PAC conference outright only 6 times.

6 PAC titles in 43 years. That's more than "a few years"

Either USC isn't the tremendous program you think they are, or the PAC was a bit better than you said and not just mediocre.

IMO USC has a rich and storied history, but most of it was in the 70s and earlier. They live off of that perception, but when people look at on the field results they are not close to what they were. Even when they won, they cheated and were stripped of their wins.

As I said they have a higher ceiling than Utah due to history, money, and facilities... but on the field, especially recently, Utah has been better.
