Joel Klatt has an issue with the seeding of the playoff Tournament. His opinion is that Oregon was penalized for winning the Big 10. The link to the article is below.
Tournament sending only matters if you want to determine a more valid positioning of the participants from 2nd place on down. The top competitor should win regardless of where they are seeded. Carter Starocci was seeded 9th at the National Tournament last year and he WON.
Tournament seeding is BS - the best will win regardless if they face the second best in the first game or the final game. And there are always issues with seeding because it is based on opinion. The evidence is the result of the current 12-Team seeding.
Perhaps Joel Klatt would be happier with an unseeded 128-Team Tournament where a true tournament champion can be determined.
(Author's Note: As a fan of the college bowl selection and ranking process back in the 80's before all the nonsense of the bowl alliance, BCS and playoff began, I find great humor when people bitch about the flaws in the system they wanted because they thought it would solve all the issues they imagined only to realize that there are unintended consequences. Don't try to fix shit that isn't broken)
Joel Klatt on CFP Bracket: ‘What a horrendous job this committee did’
I’ve said many times on this forum I don’t care who we play first just get in the playoffs. I always loved the Alabama/Penn St game that’s why I wanted Alabama in but SMU and Boise State and possibly ND/Georgia will be fun imo.
I am thinking about buying a death spell and sending it to whomever this ahole is littering our forum.
And send one to the B1G refs while you're at it, lol! I thought when John O'Neill retired we wouldn't have to put up with their bias, but I guess I was wrong (again!).
