@the-funeral-director  We could get Saban cheap.  He needs to get new work.  According to the TV commercials, he is renting out his home as an air BNB.  At least that is what VBRO Rental vacation Homes claim....

Brent Key if he’d leave Ga Tech. I’m telling y’all this dude is the real deal. If we could get Key assuming we make a coaching change we also probably get Philo a damn good QB and hope Buster comes with him. He needs Knowles so he’s safe lol 😂 Brent Key is an OL guru too.

I wonder if you have the same set of standards for other segments of your life as you do for PSU sports? Your wife burns dinner, divorce her. Your kids don't get all As, cut them out of the will. Your employer doesn't give you the raise you want, quit and find a better company. Your friends, if you have any, don't agree with you, cut them out of your life.

I didn't see the players and coaches quit on Saturday. I saw a team that was probably a bit down from the Oregon loss, lost a major player on defense, traveled across the country and got surprised by a team that had nothing to lose. Then when they were down 24 points they fought back but just didn't have enough to win. It drives me crazy when the only solution to failure is to fire the coaches and bench the starters.

I'm just ranting. I have higher standards for how fans should act then most of you folks seem to be. I believe we only have critics on this forum, no fans.

@psugrad81 James Franklin is paid millions of dollars to have the team ready especially against a team like UCLA. If there was t a 50 million dollar buyout he would’ve been fired Sunday. Ive always been a James Franklin fan and I’ve defended him fiercely when it was justified, the Oregon games and especially the UCLA game ain’t justified. I hope we can win out and it saves his job but the only reason he still has a job as head coach at Penn St is because of the 50 million dollars and if things go further south that might not save him.  James Franklin is a great guy and I love him and will always pull for him but he’s stunk it up this year we ain’t played good in any games and it’s unacceptable with what we had coming back. This is big boy football 81 results matter.

In todays college football fudge ups like what we seen Saturday against UCLA can spiral the team into chaos and set the football program back and that will cost Penn State big time money that’s the reason Georgia fired Mark Richt fans stop coming to the games so they fired him and Richt did much better than James Franklin and look at what Georgia did after they fired him..won NC’s. Results matter. You might be right 20 years ago 81 but not today

@southern-psu-fan don’t waste your time southern that guy couldn’t care less  about wins and losses and is the type that would give everyone  “ that tried” a participation trophy at the end of the season.

This subject came up at work today and one of my coworkers said “ we don’t need a program builder we need a guy that can win now”.

Kiffin and Ruhle are program builders, Saban would win now but we’re not getting him. The one guy I can think of that can win now and we could probably get would be Cignetti.

With his age being an issue he’d probably be a relatively short term fix but he’s from PA and has proven he can win right away. When it’s time to retire he can pass the reigns to an assistant.

Has Gruden won with his own team; not a  team that was built by the proceeding coach?

@psujoe As I have said before, i much prefer when PSU wins but it really has no effect on MY life. When PSU loses I mostly feel bummed for the players. As for participation trophies, I've also said before that in college sports they mostly all get a scholarship. That could be construed as a participation trophy. I love how persons of your ilk use participation trophies and other such idioms when you run out of logical arguments.

I am a fan not a critic. I will watch and cheer for PSU if they are in the top 25 or the bottom 25. Once again for the slow folks out there, 50% of all football teams that play each week will lose.

@psugrad81  “ I much prefer when PSU wins”  LMAO !!  Obviously you really don’t care and attending football games is nothing more than a social event to you. NOW SIT DOWN AND SHUTUP !! You’re blocking my view.

The dude hit on something. When DA is your leading rusher you have problems. The dude said this is a worse loss than App Stste beating Michigan. There has to be consequences or it probably will keep gettin worse. I remember saying how devastating the loss was against ND and sometimes it’s hard to get past a loss like that. To keep things the same at the top you have to be satisfied only to beat teams like Rutgers I don’t see any other way to see it.

@southern-psu-fan

I never thought about it, but a hangover from the ND loss could be the reason for our lack of performance in the 1st 3 games as well as our 2 losses!

Doesn't work that way Joe. No such thing as a new "win now" turn key operation head coach to enter the playoffs.

Tell your co worker I said to stop double dosing his Lunesta prescription.

@rip  nothing has changed on offense and these other teams know it. We’re doing the same thing on offense with 3 different WR’s for 3 straight years and getting the same results. We can’t throw the ball down field and we can’t run the RPO with the QB we have right now and teams know it. Do the same 💩 RIP, we get the same 💩 You mark my words brother, we’ll be throwing the ball all over the field when DA is gone. James Franklin is to stubborn to admit he was wrong and he’d rather lose the rest of the games than give Grunk a chance and that’s why Pribula jumped ship the dude knew he didn’t have a chance to start. If it’s good for Penn St football I love being wrong and proud to admit it. Who cares who’s right, who cares who’s wrong…just win baby that’s what it’s all about…just win! Do y’all think Dan Lanning and Coach day cares who gets the credit for winning..they don’t!

Who believes Nick Saban cared if Jalen Hurts got his feelings hurt because he got benched in the NC game when he clearly wasn’t getting it done?
