LMAO, both at the same time. I guess technically he could pull his name out of the portal, but one would have to assume the coaches said something (probably about Clifford) to Stevens in order to make him place his name into the transfer system.

If it comes out he's transferring because of his injury, applies for and gets a medical redshirt then we were all playing checkers in the forum while Sky was playing chess. 🤣 

I don't think this has to do with his injury but at this point who knows... 

We never really saw how good it was because of his limited time at quarterback. My guess would be that the other guys are better and that’s just all there is to it

Once an athlete's name is in the portal, other coaches can contact them

No doubt the coaches said something which in my book, was the right thing to do. Medical redshirt likely in the future and a transfer to a lower level D1 school, Delaware, etc......

Regardless of his future in football, Tommy Stevens is a winner and will succeed in his future endeavors. 

Or possibly, news from his doctor that he will not be able to go this fall and thus losing his chance to play for PSU since I truly believe whoever wins the job this year, will still have the job next year.  So a medical redshirt and a chance to play else where in 2020?  perhaps?
